章節 90: His Conscience

Noboru stared at the ceiling while the cold drip continued to run through his veins. By now, he was not only attached to an annoying beeping monitor, but he was also handcuffed to his bed, and guards were posted outside his door. 

"Not like I can do much," he muttered to himself. As much as he wanted to finish what he began, without his prostheses, he was nothing but a cripple. Perhaps… Perhaps if he could use the doctor's neutrality, he would get access to them? All he needed were the limbs. And then he could fight his way out and get Sayuri away from their master. It was enough if only he did the dirty work. But where should he take her? They had lost their home. And if their master succeeded, there would be no safe place in this world anymore anyway. 

"Ah, you are awake." 

It was the doctor's voice. Noboru turned his head to watch her approach him. Being restrained, he couldn't do anything against her checkup.
