Now inside of the red keep, Laena and the children had went to their room. Rhaegar was called into a council meeting by his father. He wanted to have a quick meeting before dinner.
Before going to the meeting, he had asked the midwives to take care of his sister. He had a feeling she'd be giving birth soon.
He made his way towards the council room. When he made it there, the kings guard opened the doors.
Rhaegar made his way inside and took his seat.
"Now that my son is here, we can begin. The first thing I want to address is with my son." Said Viserys.
"Saera Targaryen had appeared here two years ago. She had met with queen Alysanne, and they had supposedly made up. Do you have something to do with that?" Asked Viserys.
"While I was in Pentos, I went to Volantis to visit a family member. Yes it was Saera, but i didn't know she'd come here so soon." Said Rhaegar.
"But still, I don't see the problem. She visited her mother and went back home. This isn't something that should be brought up in a council meeting. I'll take my leave." Said Rhaegar.
Rhaegar stood up and walked out. When he walked out, Alicent was standing there with Daeron in hand.
Rhaegar went up to her and took the Babe.
"So this is little Daeron? He's cute." Said Rhaegar.
"I would like to have a word with you." Said Alicent.
Rhaegar stared at her and nodded. She led him to a more private location. They went to the Weirwood tree that was in the red keep.
When there, they made sure no one was around to see. Alicent does have a king guard member following her, but Rhaegar told him to wait inside.
"So what do you want?" Said Rhaegar as he played with Daeron.
"Do you hate me?" Asked Alicent.
"Yes, I hate you. I hate what you let happen to you. I hate your presence. I hate the way you try to act like everything is good between us. But most of all, I hate you for what you did to Rhaenyra." Said Rhaegar without making eye contact.
"She was your best friend. Heck, I even thought about befriending you myself. But the day my father announced he'd marry you. All of my respect for you vanished." Said Rhaegar.
Alicent just sat there in a trance. She knew Rhaegar didn't like her. But the pure hated he felt for her almost made her cry. Did she really deserve this?
"I would have more respect for you if you actually did things for yourself. Everything if for your father. You don't have an independent bone in your body. I bet your mother would be sick of the type of daughter she has." Said Rhaegar.
"Now what did you originally what to talk about? Because it wasn't this conversation." Said Rhaegar.
Alicent wiped the tears from her eyes and straighten up. She looked at Rhaegar and could see him covering Daeron's ears.
"I wish to betroth-" Before she could finish, Rhaegar interrupted.
"Absolutely not. Baela and Rhaena will have their our choice on who they will marry. I will not take that choice away from them. So don't mention anything like that again." Said Rhaegar as he stood up.
"Here, take care of my siblings. Keep them as far away from your father as possible. They are Targaryen's, they will not wear or indulge in Hightower customs. So don't even think about dressing them in green. Especially Helaena. Blue is more her color." Said Rhaegar as he walked away.
Alicent sat there for a while with Daeron in hand. She looked at her son and sighed. She failed again.
But now that Rhaegar pointed it out. Maybe she should start changing for the better.

-Two Months Later-
-Location: Winterfell, The North-
-POV: Daemon Targaryen-
My beloved is sick beyond measure. She's fighting for her life, but the coughing has gotten worse. Alyssa spends her time with Lyanna. She knows that her mother will die.
And Vaelor is like me. He doesn't know how to vent his anger. He and his dragon, Winter had flown off somewhere.
My Boy is five and ten name days now. He looks like his mother, while Alyssa looks like me. She herself is four and ten name days.
She doesn't have a dragon, but I intern to take to the Dragonmont on Dragonstone. Maybe she can bond with a dragon there. Maybe Silverwing.
He left his direwolf here. The nut had been following me around all day. Ash is the muts name.
Currently I'm head towards lord Rickon chambers. He is old so he's dying as well, which leave Cregan as the Heir of Winterfell.
But he's too young, so Lord Bernnard Stark will fill in until Cregan comes of age. As I continued to walk, I finally made it towards Lord Starks room.
I opened the door and see him lying down on his bed. I also see Lyanna taking care of her father, even though she herself is sick.
"My love, you have to go to your room. You can't move around too much." I said to Lyanna.
"I may be dying, but that doesn't stop me from taking care of my brother." Said Lyanna.
This woman. She's so stubborn. This is one of the qualities I love about her. She doesn't fear death, and she continues to do what she wants to do.
"Fine, I'll help you." I said as I sat dark sister down.
"Thanks dea- COUGH, COUGH!" Said Lyanna as she coughed.
She's getting worse.
"Do push yourself. I'm here for you, rely on me." I said as I catch her by the arm.
"It's okay, I'm fine Daemon." Said Lyanna.
I look at her and see her pale face. She's not okay, but I have to take her word for it. She does this a lot. She doesn't want others to take care of her.
KNOCK KNOCK!
"Enter." I said.
"Excuse me my prince, but a raven has come for you and Lady Lyanna." Said the Maester.
He hands me the letter, and I began opening it. When i finished, I began reading and a small smile formed on my face.
Rhaegar sent me a raven, telling me that Rhaenyra just gave birth to her first child. It's a boy named Jacaerys.
"It seems like Rhaenyra had her child, it's a boy." I said to Lyanna.
"That's good, she's finally a mother." Said Lyanna.
Hopefully she doesn't go through what Aemma went through. Viserys basically milked her dry.
I looked at Lyanna and think of a way to get her to kings landing. I know she wants to see the child, so I'll honor her wish.
Hopefully she can stay healthy throughout the journey.
-POV: Otto Hightower-
Gods be damned.
Rhaenyra just gave birth to a boy. Rhaegar has two girls, so the likelihood of them being crowned heir is low. But with Rhaenyra's boy in the mix, it complicates things.
And Alicent has begun ignoring me. She has complete shut me out. Some of my people in the castle told me that her and Rhaegar had spoken to each other a few moons ago.
Maybe that could be the reason. My naive daughter, letting these dragons play her like a fool. She is a Hightower, it's about time she sees that.
Aegon should be the heir, but Viserys will not change his mind. Even with Rhaegar's children being girls.
I'll try and get them betrothed to Aemond and Daeron. That way there will still be Hightower blood on the throne.
When Daeron comes of age, I'll send him to the citadel to be fostered. I can't have all my cards in the red keep.
Aegon will have to be molded into a proper king. But unfortunately he would have to follow Rhaegar's example.
As much as it pains me to admit. He would make a fine king. But I can't have my house under the influence of these damn dragons.
Daemon is enough to deal with. Imagine 10 of him with their dragons. House Targaryen has to cease, or else the entire realm is doomed.
-POV: Narrator-
-Few Weeks later-
Inside of the red keep, Daemon and his family were patiently waiting for the maester to finish his check up of Lyanna.
Thankfully she was able to make the trip to Kings landing. Along with their children and Vaelor's Dragon.
Winter had been put in Kings wood with Vhagar and Haedes. The dragon had almost killed one of the Dragonkeepers.
So Vaelor just flew the dragon to the kings wood.
They were all waiting, and then the door to Lyanna's room opened. The maester stepped out and began speaking.
"Lady Stark is stable now. But she will not make it through the night. I will not my leave now my prince." Said the Maester as he began to walk away.
BANG!!!!
Daemon threw the wine cup he was holding out of anger. Vaelor stood up and walked into his mother room.
Vaelor went to his mother side and knelt down next to the bed. He grabbed his mother's hand and start to cry.
"My beautiful boy, it's going to be okay. I may not be here but you will be a fine knight. Just like your father. Just take care of your father and sister. When I'am not around, your father likes to kill things that upset him." Said Lyanna as she mocked Daemon.
Hearing her Daemon couldn't help but laugh. Even while dying, she made fun of him. Maybe she was more prepared for death than he is.
"Mother, I will honor your wish. Even if it kills me." Said Vaelor.
"That's the Stark in you." Said Lyanna as she smiled.
"Don't let your honor drive you crazy. I've seen it with my father and my brothers, honor is a good thing to have, but never let it cloud your judgment." Said Lyanna.
"Where is Alyssa? I was to see my girl." Said Lyanna.
"I'm here mother." Said Alyssa as she walked in with puffy red eyes.
Seeing this Lyanna struggling to sit up, but with the help of Vaelor, she was able to sit up.
She opened her arms and motioned Alyssa over. Alyssa walked to her mother and hugged her and started crying.
Alyssa was known to be just like her mother. Strong, fierce, independent, and stubborn. But deep down, she was a soft girl that didn't like to harm anyone.
Dealing with her mother's impending death had taken a lot out of her. The thought of not seeing her mother face scared her a lot.
"My beautiful children, I have something for the both of you. Can you get the box of there my son?" Asked Lyanna.
Vaelor hopped up and went to get a huge box. It was a long box that had some weight to it.
Vaelor sat it on the bed in front of his mother.
"I had asked your father to get these made before you both were born. I knew I would have a boy and a girl, so I got both of you matching Valyrian Steel daggers." Said Lyanna.
Lyanna opened the box and showed the two daggers to her children. One daggers was pure white with black accents, while the other was pure black with white accents.

"Keep this as a reminder of my love for you both. And think of it as me always protecting you both from danger." Said Lyanna.
Vaelor and Alyssa took both daggers and clenched them tightly.
Soon enough it was just Daemon and Lyanna. They sat in silence as they both lying on the bed together.
"To tell you the truth my love. I don't want to die. I don't want to leave my family. I just want to grow old with you and watch our children marry. And maybe even see our grandchildren. But it seems the gods didn't deem it possible." Said Lyanna.
"Then they are damn fools. Taking you from this world, our children, me. This must be one cruel joke." Said Daemon.
"When I die, please keep yourself in check. You're not only responsible for yourself anymore. We have two beautiful children who need their father, so keep your self together." Said Lyanna as she kissed Daemon.
She then took her ring off and handed it him. Usually rings weren't common amongst the married men and women of the realm.
When Rhaegar and Laena got married, he had seen Rhaegar give Laena a ring made out of Valyrian steel. Rhaegar also had one on his hand.
So Daemon had asked Rhaegar if he could do the same with Lyanna. Rhaegar got them made and gave them to Daemon, who gave Lyanna hers.

"Take this for your next wife. You can't be alone forever, you will find someone else to love." Said Lyanna.
"Not like the way I love you. No one will even replace you in my heart." Said Daemon.
"Good. I love you my love." Said Lyanna as she closed her eyes.
"I love you too my she-wolf." Said Daemon as tears began to fall.
Soon enough, the stiffness in her body gave out. He didn't feel her breath on his face anymore, and her heart started to slow down.
Soon enough, he heard her last heart beat.
He slowly stood up and looked at his dead wife. He wanted to lash out, but he held himself together.
Now it's time to prepare for the funeral. He himself with Fly her body back to winterfell. So she can be put in the crypt.
Truthfully he wanted to put her in the Targaryen crypt but he didn't want to go against her wish. She wanted to be in the crypt of winterfell you the rest of her ancestors.
It's time to prepare Caraxes.
