In the dark recesses of existence of every advanced civilisation, one word has always whispered the inevitable, the final path of the stars, unchanging and unwavering, crushing their souls and drowning them in a sea of despair.
Destiny.
Like the script of a great play, where every being in the length and breadth of existence is an actor playing the role of his or her life.
Every decision made, every event, every key moment and every interaction with other characters is just part of the overall plot that guides the development of the plot of his great play, leading to an inevitable denouement.
Countless are those who have tried to deviate from the predetermined course of the play, but at every turn, at every twist, at every sigh, their attempts have ended only in acts of improvisation that enrich the play, and every end of an epoch is only the lowering of the backdrop that prepares to reveal the next act of this never-ending play.
And there are those who have managed to catch a glimpse of the future genius of this play and naively believe in the depths of their being that they are capable of fighting it, of rebelling against its tyranny.
Woe to those who do not realise that what they have glimpsed is like chains that bind them and drag them into a bleak and dismal future under the false belief of control.
But there was one who did the impossible.
He desperately tried to outwit fate, to play by its twisted rules, to play his part in the intricate plot that fate had woven.
He plunged into deception, using his wisdom to weave a web of lies, cunning and mystery in a desperate attempt to escape its relentless embrace.
At first he tried to change the course of history, but the curtain held firm, revealing an inevitable outcome.
In the end... he managed to outwit fate like a cunning actor in a theatre of illusion created by the web of lies and secrets he wove as the plot ran its course.
The twisted path he took to escape was like a daring leap from one path to another in an endless labyrinth, where every step was a chasm between sanity and madness.
He found himself teetering on the edge of the abyss, like a reckless clown in a circus, desperately trying to find a balance between sanity and chaos.
His path has now become impassable, for in his flight he has condemned himself to oblivion.
But now, armed with the secrets he had gained from escaping fate, he faced the challenge of finding his way back amidst the chaos. These secrets, acquired in the darkest recesses of existence, are the revelations he has unearthed in his struggle against the forces of fate.
On his broken tracks he will lay new rails, forged with the will and determination of one who once defeated the great tyrant. These rails, once rusted with despair, will now gleam with the light of new possibilities.
In his resurrection, he will usurp a destiny to deceive and once again challenge the established order of the universe, unveiling the darkest secrets and altering the course of history to his liking.
He who has patiently waited for his moment in eternity, and now, at last, the time has come for his awakening.
The forgotten.
The most ancient.
The eon... of mystery.

While writing the next chapter, I sort of got sidetracked and ended up writing this.
And I realised that it would look great as chapter 1, but for now I'll leave it here until I finish the next one.
