The email Ian received was from Goofy. As soon as Ian saw the name, Jeff Sanson, he knew who he was. The CEO of Goofy.
Reading the email, Ian saw how it had been requested to arrange a meeting to talk about a future cooperation project. The email clearly showed that they had intentions of talking and wanting to get into business with Renner Studio.
Ian called Murphy to come in through the intercom.
"Sir?" Murphy asked as soon as he came in.
"Yes, reply to this email, from your email—considering they somehow found my personal email, schedule the meeting tomorrow at around 10 am," Ian said and Murphy nodded with an 'okay'.
"Can you ask Uncle Mason to meet me now, if he is free of course?" Ian questioned.
"Okay sir," Murphy said and walked out of the office.
After a little while, Mason came in, knocking at the door which Ian gave permission to come in.
"It's the Goofy, they sent an email right now asking for a meeting within forty-eight hours, and as far as I know, Jeff is a scary man to deal with," Ian said with a frown.
"Yeah, the dude says one thing and plans a hundred more. But, Goofy is literally one of the people's favourites in the entire world. Their own theme park, their own pop culture history, children's cartoon show, which even adults adore, in short, Goofy is basically a top-tier company in Hollywood," Mason said for which Ian nodded.
"I know all of that, uncle," Ian said. "I also know how they are basically an oligopoly. The fact that they have senators, politicians, and some more powerful people inside the government is something I'm fully aware of. With all their power, they give content to the public which people have loved for generations, so, I'm going to meet them tomorrow," Ian said and Mason nodded.
"Their goals are not short-termed, Ian. They are always long-term goals, so keep that in mind and just do yourself," Mason said, knowing how smart Ian is regarding such situations.
"Yeah, I know. Let's see how far they plan to take the deal. And the thing is, if we collaborate with them, the exposure for me, as a director and the company as a studio would boost up due to how popular and systematic they are. And since the article is already out, people are now having hopes as I see," Ian said.
"I kind of think it will be alright because the benefit would be for both," Mason implied.
"I know so."

It was 10 am, and Ian was at the parking lot of the company building of Goofy, which had a branch in California. The specialty is how one of the seven CEOs was working in that branch—Jeff Sanson.
During his way, Ian scrolled through Nwitter as a habit, while he was being driven to the location he was needed. But after seeing the trends and tags, he was aware how the public already believed that Renner Studio and Goofy would collaborate on Ian's next movie.
People were already commenting on Ian's new book, and then after the news of Goofy, the trend had been spreading like wildfire that Goofy and Renner Studios would collaborate for a new movie.
Some people even went ahead and spread rumours about how deals were already signed and said that a new movie would be out within a few months—which Ian scrolled down aggressively knowing it would be a part of the plan of Goofy.
Ian got out of his car and walked in with his phone in his hand. As soon as he got out, there were paparazzi with cameras, and flashlights were going on and off throughout his way to the reception. Luckily, two security guards came running toward him and helped to clear his way inside.
More than hundreds of pictures were taken of him, and different questions were asked along the way. Microphones were extended so closely to his face, that he shrugged off and jogged inside as quickly as possible.
"Is it about a new movie?"
"Can you tell us why you are here?"
"Sir! Sir Ian Renner! Can we have a word with you please?!"
"Is this the first time meeting?!"
All those sorts of questions were asked one over another—without a pause. Their voices were louder and louder the more inside he walked. Finally, the door to the main entrance closed, and no longer loud voices were heard.
The thought of how it was a certainty that Ian could expect pictures of him in different poses if he scrolled through the internet tomorrow—made him shudder on the inside.
"Mr Ian Renner?" A tall girl, with a dark shade of red lipstick, came toward Ian with a pleasant smile.
"Yes, I'm," Ian replied, still his heart thumping fast due to the fact he dealt with the paparazzi with no pre-preparation.
"Hello sir, I'm Shirley Clare, and I need to mention that we are truly sorry for the inconvenience that was caused outside, but the good thing is that Mr Sanson is waiting for you already," She said with a deep American accent.
"It's alright, Shirley. Where can I see him?" Ian questioned back.
"Yes, sure sir, please follow me," She said and Ian nodded with a 'sure'.
He followed the lady in high heels to the second floor and walked inside a huge office with a marble floor, which looked deadly calm and quiet. But the person who sat in the chair gave off friendly vibes—too friendly to be cautious.
"Ian Renner! So good to see you in person!" Jeff stood and approached Ian as soon as he opened the door.
Jeff Sanson looked to be in his middle age, with an oval shape. The moustache and the beard were prominently well-shaped and his entire outfit gave off rich vibes. The suit itself must have cost a few thousand dollars, Ian thought.
"Good to see you too, Mr. Sanson. The email was quite a mysterious one, so I doubted if I'm seeing things correctly," Ian said as he was welcomed to sit on the leather sofa which was in the office room itself.
"Ah, just call me Jeff. And, I knew it should have been better, but I'm really happy to see you here today," Jeff said and at the same time, another woman came inside the door after knocking.
She brought refreshments, and Ian thanked her politely.
"So, what I wanted to talk about was, I want to work with Ian's studio and make a movie," Jeff said as soon as the girl walked outside.
The upfront request was something Ian had expected from Jeff Sanson. Since Jeff had been working for quite a long time in the industry, it was a given that he was someone who had straight requests with the clients he worked with. No matter if they were directors, actors, or script writers, he had his way of asking.
"Yes, I figured that out as soon as the tabloid was printed to the media. But can I know why the media was involved even before the meeting happened?" Ian questioned with a frown.
"Well, Ian. In a company as big as Goofy is, there is no way to keep a secret for too long. And our company had the meeting regarding the decision at least a week before you won your first Oscar," Jeff said. "And with that, things got out of hand pretty quickly. The next thing we know after the meeting was that Ian Renner, winning an Oscar as the youngest recipient of such an honourable award. And then, a tabloid mentioning that we'd collaborate with Ian for a new movie," Jeff shrugged.
With that long statement, Ian knew how friendly Jeff could come off as. His personality was friendly, and he sounded like a nice person to work with. Considering Goofy was one of the biggest studios in the world, Ian was slightly surprised to meet such a friendly person.
Hearing his statement, Ian sighed and nodded. "Yeah, well, the thing is that the public is already expecting us to work alongside each other," He said.
"So, what do you say?" Jeff questioned him.
"I have my terms, and if you agree, it'll be a deal," Ian replied with equal authority in his voice.
"I'm all ears, Ian," Jeff replied.
"Okay, so I will have the proprietary control over my movie. And the actors that I want to hire would be selected by myself, of course. Also, I don't want Goofy to be involved in anything more than in the distribution, set location, props, and VFX. In short, the rest of it would be handled by me and my company—Renner Studio," Ian said.
"Do you have any plans for your next movie?" Jeff questioned back. In a way, it explained that Jeff agreed to the terms of Ian.
"I do, yes," Ian said with a smile that reached his eyes.
"I think we have a deal, Ian. It's settled that the Goofy would distribute Ian Renner's next big hit," Jeff said with a nod, taking a sip from the drink that was in front of him.
[...] The deal was settled, and Ian was on his way to meet another person who would be someone Ian was about to work with.
