"Are you okay baby?" Arissa asked the boy when he resumed his whimpers.
She looked around the kitchen and gave them deep apology glances. She knew she wasn't meant to be here but the boy said his mother was in here.
Walking towards one of the cooks, Arissa decided to ask around for the boy's mother. Maybe she works here.
"I want my Mummy," the boy cried from Arissa's shoulder.
Arissa nodded in approval, "I know that and we'll find her soon. Don't worry, I'm not giving up until I find your Mum," she promised.
"But you're going the wrong way," the boy argued.
Arissa's feet halted, "Huh?" she tore the boy off her neck and gently made him look at her.
"This is the restaurant kitchen. What other way are you talking about?"
The boy's innocent eyes met Arissa's own. "There is an exit door there," he pointed at one end of the kitchen, "My Mother and I live there so we can eat the leftovers easily before anyone,"
