The more I spoke the more my upper lip trembled as my sight became blurry due to unshed tears. 

"Yesterday when I called Pedro and I started crying I felt like I was crying not only because you were a jerk but for all the things that have happened in my life. It was like there was a crack in my armour and all the pain I had been harbouring for all these years just came spilling out that I wanted to run away. 

Sometimes I get so lost," I sobbed, "Because what if I told my dad no and I went for what I wanted. Yes, maybe I wouldn't have been a legend but maybe I would have been happy. I was the one whose body was put on the line. I'm the one who broke bones, got cuts and almost got killed. Yet if I rode badly the crowd would be deadly silent and no one would even look at me which just made the pressure feel ten times worse.
