"What do you mean?" Samuel's mouth hung open as he asked.

Agnes bit her lower lip as she looked away.

She thought about how to tell him more convincingly, but what she said appeared to be completely different from what she intended.

"You want me to pretend to be your boyfriend? Are you kidding?" He questioned once more.

"As you can see," She put her hand on his cheek as she looked at his surprised expression.

"You look like a normal guy with endearing curly hair, but with just a little touch-up, you'll look like a big top shot,"

"You're confusing me," He took her hand away from his cheek.

"Okay, let me explain. My boyfriend proposed to another woman on his birthday, and I came to this town to surprise him without him knowing, so I caught him." She said, avoiding his gaze.
