Beau walked into the dimly lit room and switched on the main light.  Looking at the mess in the room, he felt his heart sink. His baby was hurt quite deeply by her father's words this time.

Beau understood her.

He had known her for long. This episode might came with some changes in her mannerisms.

Whether temporary or permanent changes he had mo idea. Whatever it would be, he hoped for the best for the girl curled up at the foot of the bed.

Maybe he would have reacted in a worse way. He couldnt imagine anyone telling him to forgive his parents and move on if one day they showed up. Despite his yearning for them, a part of him resented them for the way they left him on the street.
