章節 156: I'm Glad You're Here

Everybody but Emily fell asleep for several hours and woke up ready for pie. Afterwards they turned on the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, which Sam had recorded earlier in the day.

"This would have been cool to see in person," Kaitlyn said wistfully.

"Maybe another year, kiddo," Sam said as she patted her baby sister's hand. "I bet the crowds are insane though. You probably wouldn't get to see much. Personally, I'm glad we stayed inside. It's freezing out there."

"Yeah, that's true." Cold in New York City made it all the way down to your bones.

"Welp, I'm going back to bed," Sam announced when the recording ended. "Anyone with me?"

"Me!" Kaitlyn volunteered as she got up to head to the bathroom and get ready. "All that pie made me tired all over again. Thanks for the food, Emily. It was really good."

"Yeah, thanks," Sam said with a yawn as she scratched her head.
