章節 140: A Distraction

Sam made sure not to knock on the door until Justin was done crying. It took about two hours and those were two of the longest hours of her life. She tried going back to her room and getting some homework done but even with the door shut she still heard his muffled wails of despair.

How could a single person have such a horrible effect on him?! Well…she supposed Emily humanized him. It made sense that with her gone he would go back to worse than what he was before.

When Sam was satisfied that the crying had stopped she busted out two mugs of hot chocolate—taking care to make sure they were both hers because she didn't know which mugs of Justin's would remind him of Emily—and tentatively knocked on his door.

"Justin? Can I come in? I have hot chocolate."

"With marshmallows?"
