He couldn't think straight, so he merely said in a hushed tone, "Then go and solve the problem! Quick!"

The judge looked around at the court that he was so familiar with. Even though he looked calm, his trembling hands exposed his true thoughts. He willed his shaking hand to hold the gavel and tried a couple of times before finally managing to hold it properly. He intended to end the hearing today.
