Waking up in a daze, I look around confused, before I remember that I... died and reincarnated.
Getting up again, I go to the lake and drink some of the water.
Deciding to explore more of the forest, I mark the trees I pass by again in case I don't find shelter before dark.
While walking, I come across an oddly wet spot. Crouching down I dip my fingers into the mud. Bringing it up to my nose I cringe at the smell. It's blood.
Looking around more closely I see small footsteps. Smaller than mine, and I'm in the body of a kid.
My ear twitches as I hear something cutting through the air. Tilting my head out of the way, my cheek gets cut by the arrow passing by.
And through the bushes 3 goblins come out. 2 with wooden clubs and the last one with a bow.
Immediately I dash towards them. The ones with the clubs are swinging as I near. Ducking under the first club. And passing the first goblin, I dash towards the 2nd one.
I swing my fist, hitting it in the face, breaking its nose. My ear twitches again as I hear the sound of a arrow cutting through the air.
Expecting the arrow to come, I catch the arrow mid flight, and spin around stabbing the goblin behind me in the eye.
Turning around I dash at the last goblin in a zig zag pattern. When I reach the goblin, I cock my fist back, and hit it straight in the face.
Grabbing a rock around the size of my head, I smash the goblins head in, confirming the kill.
Turning around I see the 2nd goblin trying to crawl away. Grabbing the bloody rock, I smash the goblins head in.
With my adrenaline wearing off my arms feel tired from the exertion. My body not used to fighting, but oddly crazing for another one.
Deciding that I needed a break, I look for something to eat. Scrounging around I find some fruits that are non poisonous.
Climbing a tree to its lowest branch, I eat silliently.
'If there is a small group of goblins, then there must be a camp somewhere in this forest. I might... not look like a hero that was summoned here, but I still have a job to do. Goblins might be weak, but let them run wild and it becomes everyone's problem.'
Finally finishing my food I decided my next course of action. Find the goblin camp or village. Doesn't matter how big it is, I gotta take it down before it gets out of control.
Making my way back to the small clearing, I try to make or spot landmarks, so I can Make a somewhat map in the future.
-------(a couple hours later)-------
Making it back to the clearing, I start drawing a map in the dirt. It isn't much, but it should help me find the goblins are settling.
Marking on the map around the goblins I fought, I turn away from the map and go get a drink from the lake.
With the night nearing I settle down to sleep.
---------(not the end of the chapter yet ima try to make longer)-------- a month later
3rd pov
In a forest where everything is calm, the wind blowing gently, the leaves rustling in the trees. The birds singing.
Deeper into the forest we can see trees cut down and turned into giant spikes to make a fence. In the fence is a village of goblins.
But first let's see whats outside the fence. Specifically on a branch in a tree high enough to overlook the whole village, is the main character.
Not much has changed in terms of appearance besides that muscles have started to grow, and his hair is a bit longer and unkempt.
----------1st pov------------
Overviewing the goblin village, I Start to plan out how I'll eliminate them.
No one has been captured by them luckily, so I can set fire to the village in the middle of the night.
It's first thing in the morning right now, so I'll have enough time to plan out my movements.
------(night time 1st pov)--------
It's time to start.
Creeping up to the village walls, I stay out of sight, my black fur helping me blend in with the darkness.
Once I get to the wall, I take two rocks and hit them against each other until s small fire starts.
The fire quickly spreads. I make my way to the gate. The goblins are in a panic. Some try to put out the fire, but it proves useless. The fire has spread to some of the huts setting them ablaze.
---3rd pov----
Some smarter goblins try to flee. But it also proves useless as they quickly die to a dark figure, lurking in the shadows.
The flames quickly consume the whole camp, making a painful death for most of the goblins.
Once the flames settle, and eventually only become small embers, the dark figure appears.
----1st pov----
I look around to see if any of the goblins somehow survived the fire. Seeing that no goblin is alive, I leave knowing that if anything was of value it would have been burned in the fire.
I make my way back to camp, while on my way I hear whispering.
I stop and hide before they see me.
"Someone's set fire to the woods! Quickly we must get others to put out the fire!"
Before they leave I get a glimpse of what they look like. They are dressed in light clothing. With bows and short swords strapped to them.
But what stood out the most was their ears.
They were pointy, meaning they were elves.
