章節 98: A favor.
"Yeah I'm really sorry about the whole destroyed living room thing. Not even here a day and this happens." I say with a laugh.
"No need to mind it as it looked good as new now. So no harm done." Xavier says.
"How about I offer you something in exchange I'm sure you'll enjoy." I pull out a few vials.
"Oh and what might these be?" He ask eying the potions.
"Well you see when I was younger I went through some pretty nasty training." I say rolling up my sleeves to show my shoulders which are covered in scars. He examines them closely.
"During this training I may have had my limbs severed off a few time and reattached." I tell him.
"My god what kind of training would do that?" He asks in shock.
"Training with goblins combat loving creatures great with weapons." I say lowering my sleeve. "But I think your missing the big picture. If my limbs were severed so many times then why do my fingers and everything else function perfectly there are tone of nerves in that spot aren't there?"
His eyes looked confused for a second before the widen in shock.
"Your saying these potions can help me walk?" He asks. "If what your saying is true then this is really a revolutionary medicine." He eyes both bottles.
"Well one is for bone growing and the other is for nerve attachment both are rather unpleasant but shouldn't take more than a couple hours." I tell him with a smile.
"What do you need to do?" He asks me curiously.
"I'm actually a certified medic so the operation is very simple you can even stay awake if you like it will only take a few seconds however I advise you lay down." I tell him.
"A medic aswell you really have a vast skill set. You'll have to tell me more about it someday. Follow me back to the medical bay jean your welcome to come along too." He says as his wheelchair kicks into motion.
Jean had been listening in the whole time and just followed along quietly. She was still going over some of my memories.
In the medical bay the professor clip on some little wires to parts of his body. "So what do you need me to do?" He asks.
"Lay on your stomach and your awful trusting aren't you?" I ask him curiously as I float him out of his chair onto the medical table.
"For some reason I don't believe you would hurt me." He says confidently. "Call it a guy feeling if you will."
"Well your going to be a bit mistaken as it's going to hurt a bit with the bone growing potion." I say with a laugh.
I wave my wand over his back and pick out the damaged area. Now there are tons of different theories and stories on how Xavier got crippled. Boulders, bad falls down stairs, stray bullets, magneto. I'm not here to answer the truth as it's more fun that way.
"Drink these before we get started as you might not be able to move for a bit." I pass him the potions and he quickly drinks them.
"Ugh they taste nasty." He says.
"Yeah I agree so too." I quickly vanish the damaged part of his spine and he goes limp on the table.
Spinal and brain damage are nasty stuff. Spinal damage however is easier to deal with magically than brain damage. That's a whole other ball game.
I keep scanning to make sure everything is okay. The nerves are reconnecting beautifully as the bones slowly form up over the top of them.
"Professor I'm going to be injecting you with some potions that help with bone and muscle strength as your bones in your back are new. Also you haven't used your legs in quite a while and a lot of the muscles have deteriorated." I tell the man who can still hear us.
I pull out two vials and some syringes and fill them with potion before sticking them into his legs.
"The nerve regrowing potion can't be taken with pain killers something in the potions clash so your a bit shit out of luck however I can knock you out with a spell if you like?" I tell the heavily sweating man who barely shakes his head no.
"Alright well it should be done in a bit." I keep watch as even jean looks on curiously. I inject him in damaged spots to heal as the bones slowly regrow.
After about a hour and 45 minutes everything seems to be in place. He's just been gritting his teeth and holding the table for a while.
"Should be done however I'd continue to lay there for a bit to make doubly sure." I tell him running a diagnostic spell.
"That was a terrible experience if I do say so." He grits out tiredly. "I should have taken you up on your offer to knock me out I'll remember it next time."
"Hopefully there won't be a next time. Alright I'm going to be poking you so tell me if you feel it." I use my wand and jab his thigh and get a proper response then move lower down this leg getting affirmatives all the way to his feet and toes.
"Perfect. I'd still advise against and marathon runs or squats as that might be a bit too much for the first day." I levitate him back into his chair. "Doctors rules gotta wheel ya out." I say with a laugh pushing him out the medical bay as he grumbles.
Once we are out he shakily starts to use the grips to stand up. I help assist with my wand slowly easing off when he gets a good stride going.
"Perfect and it only took about two hours. Boy is everyone else going to be shocked."
"They certainly are." I hear Logan's voice from across the hall watching Charles walk again in shock.
