Solemn silence ruled this moment of the festivities. No one else but the birds in the sky dared to make a sound. Everyone stood on the edge of their toes, anticipating the reaction of the king. 

A young and fair man with a regal air about him, wearing purple and gold clothes and a high crown on his head, descended with sure strides the steps of his throne. He stopped in front of his Great General and placed his hand on the man's bowed head. "This King acknowledges his humble subjects and sets upon them his benevolence and blessing. May your names always be held in high regard as your bodies have stood high to defend Us. Rise!"

As the endeavoured soldiers rose as one at the king's command, the crowd broke out in deafening cheers. Finally, the time had come for the celebrations.
