Celeste looked at Avond then, unsure of herself, but still said, "There's a lot more to the story than I know, right?" she asked. Avond nodded but didn't elaborate.

Instead, he beckoned her to follow him, which Celeste did without question.

The two of them entered the elevator, and the moment the double doors slid shut, Avond started to speak.

He sighed. "A lot is happening at the moment, Celeste—new drugs circulating on the streets, and these are dangerous people. That college student thought he could make money from selling drugs. Something must have happened." 

Celeste nodded curiously. "Alright. What kind of drugs are you talking about?"

"Physical and reflex-enhancing drugs, VC3 and NLX9. The streets were always dangerous, but with this, it's even more so today than ever. It's a bad time to start learning to be a shark, Celeste," Avond said, glancing at her with concern as the elevator door opened once again, bringing them to the main floor.
