He glanced at the caller ID and answered, "What's up?"

An anxious voice came through the phone, "Chief Daniel Marshall, Miss Ziegler accidentally cut her hand while arranging flowers. The wound looks quite deep, and there was a lot of bleeding. We urged her to go to the hospital, but she refused. She says she doesn't want to trouble anyone and that it will be fine once the bleeding stops and she applies some medicine."

Daniel frowned in displeasure, "Has the bleeding stopped yet?"

"We pressed on it for a few minutes, but the bleeding hasn't stopped. As soon as we let go, the cut starts bleeding again. I'm worried that it's quite deep, and I don't know if it needs stitches.
