Will came up behind Hazel unexpectedly, making her jump. "Whatcha doing?"

She instinctually clutched a hand to her heart. "Geez, don't scare me like that! I'm looking through the pictures from today."

He hadn't noticed how she stopped on his picture, right? Being caught smiling at the thought of him would probably give him the wrong idea.

Her thoughts and feelings were too muddled to wade through right now. All she wanted was to enjoy the rest of her vacation. She could try to process how things had subtly changed when they got back to Park City.

Will sat down next to her and peered at the camera. "I look like a total dork here. Oh well."

"You do not! I think you look cute," Hazel reassured him without realizing what she was saying.

The moment she did she immediately began to panic. How much of an idiot was she?! Not only had he seen which picture she had been staring at, she actually said what she was thinking!
