章節 12: Chapter 12: 'Wake Up To Reality..'
Seeing that his magic attack didn't even touch Earnest, Malfoy's Lackey, Goyle, tried to attack again, but this time Earnest lifted Malfoy with his other hand and threw him towards Goyle like launching a rocket.
Due to the collision, both fell, one above another, displaying an intimate contact between them but no one was in the mood to tease them as their focus was on Earnest at that time.
'Does the Black family have some Dragon ancestors?'
Everyone thought so, they attributed Earnest's strength to the noble blood of the most ancient and most noble house of Black.
Earnest turned around and looked towards the remaining first years of Slytherin College, especially Daphne. He started moving towards them but another boy jumped in his path, Zabini. Apparently, the boy has some prior friendship with Malfoy.
"Are you really a wizard? Why don't you use your magic!" Taunted Zabini and then pulled out his wand and fired a few spells like Tarantallegra known as the Dancing Feet Spell.
But Earnest kept on walking with an expressionless face just shifting his face and body enough to dodge the spell. When he reached Zabini, he was already panicking with sweat running down his face. He has seen how Earnest has treated Draco and he feared the same treatment.
But this time Earnest didn't do much, he raised his hand and slapped the boy. A slap is the biggest insult in any social gathering. Zabini went down with a slap, with tears in his eyes he kept staring upwards towards Earnest with a terrified expression.
His wand fell far away due to the jerk caused by the slap. Earnest didn't even look at the fallen Zabini and kept walking towards the stunned Pansy and Daphne. They trembingly pulled out their wands but no spell came out of it. They have seen how he dodged Zabini's spells. Unless they use AOE spells like Bombarda, they couldn't harm Earnest as it seems like he has eyes even on the back of his head and all of this can be attributed to the Kagura's Mind Eye which can sense any magical fluctuation in his surroundings.
As he reached Daphne and Pansy, he raised his hand but didn't touch them, he came behind them, put his hand on their shoulder and whispered into their ears, but the silence of the common room allowed it to be heard by everyone. It has to be noted, that there is a rule, that in the Prefect selection for each year, no one from other years is allowed to interfere, even if there is cheating, as long as no member from the other 6 years is responsible, it will be looked over.
So Earnest's action or his use of force and no magic will not be a problem for the Slytherin seniors, and some of the Slytherin witches even have stars in their eyes, the level of attractiveness, plus domineering attitude, unnatural strength and 'Black Blood', they will just skip him being half-blood since he does have a pure-blooded mother, Earnest has become the most desirable male for the Slytherin Witches.
A slow whisper reverberated throughout the common room.
"My parents raised me to respect women, so I won't hurt you. But don't mistake my restraint for weakness—cross the line, and you'll pay dearly."
He walked back to his original place, not caring if the two witches would fire a spell on his back. He might have been attentive towards the magic but he missed the strange expression that appeared on Daphne's face as he was moving back. Pansy was scared silly but Daphne's expression went unnoticed by everyone in the common room.
After that, he didn't look around much and started moving towards the first-year dormitories but he was stopped by Gemma.
"Wait, where are you going, now that you are the First Year Prefect, you need to talk about your ambitions or just give a few words."
"When did I agree to become the Prefect?" he asked, genuinely puzzled by the outcome.
"Does any else want to become the Prefect?" asked Gemma to the rest of the First year Slytherin.
Seeing that no one gave a response, she turned towards Earnest and said, "See, you did this so now you are the Prefect, so just say some words."
Earnest looked at her with an exasperated look, 'Seriously! Now this is what happens when you act impulsively. Let's get on with it, not like I would have much to do as a first-year Prefect.'
Seeing that he got ready, everyone looked towards Earnest, wondering what this new Prefect would say. Even the fallen Malfoy, Goyle and Zabini were paying attention.
'What can I say, a speech, some words, ah, got an idea. Let's go with that.'
"Wake up to reality." Earnest, making his voice a little more serious and deep, started with one of the most iconic speeches, Don't know why but his mind decided to go with these words and he just laid it out, don't care what Dumbledore thinks or not, he is already busy with Grindelwald and Voldemort.
Earnest and everyone in Hogwarts have already learned about the First Dark Lord getting out of his prison, but they didn't show much reaction as those in the older generation or outside the British Isles would show.
For those in British, Voldemort was the most terrifying being. So they were blissfully unaware of the terror that the word Grindelwald represents.
Earnest continued his words, "Nothing ever goes as planned in this accursed world. The longer you live, the more you realize that the only things that truly exist in this reality are merely pain, suffering and futility."
These words immediately grabbed the attention of everyone. They were surprised that an 11-year-old could utter these words.
"Listen, everywhere you look in this world, wherever there is light, there will always be shadows to be found as well. As long as there is a concept of victors, the vanquished will also exist. The selfish intent of wanting to preserve peace initiates war and hatred is born in order to protect love. There are nexuses causal relationships that cannot be separated."
Everyone in the room had solemn expressions on their faces. But the next line touched something within them. It was as if someone provided them with a light in the darkness. Even in Slytherin, 40% are half-bloods. Maintaining the pure-blood lineage is actually very difficult in the wizarding world where only limited pure-blooded partners are available, wizards can't have more children, most families only have a single child, and Weasleys are the only exceptions.
For these half-bloods, Earnest's words were like salvation. Most of them might not have understood the deep intent behind those words, but they want to be a part of the world that Earnest has envisioned. Even many pure-bloods were enamoured by his words.
"I want to sever the fate of the world. A world of only victors. A world of only peace. A world of only love. I will create such a world."
