Chapter -34.
As the prisoners sat trapped in their painful memories, even the most notorious among them, like the sleazy old man, fell silent in the face of the atmosphere around them.
When Lester wrapped up his previous comments, something extraordinary happened.
The atmosphere in the large prison was so still that you could almost hear a pin drop.
All the hardened inmates leaned forward, gripping the iron bars of their cells, eyes fixed on Lester, who stood confidently in the center of the prison.
They couldn't deny that Lester's words had struck a chord with them.
Finally, under the intense gaze of over a hundred prisoners, Lester spoke again, and he started with a powerful statement.
"The magical world doesn't belong only to pureblood aristocrats; in reality, we Muggle-born wizards are the true rulers of the Wizarding realm!"
"We deserve the same rights as pureblood wizards!"
The more Lester spoke, the more his excitement grew, dragging them through the upheaval caused by Voldemort a decade ago.
"It was Voldemort and the purebloods who pushed us into the corners!"
Before the chaos caused by Voldemort, Muggle wizards had a degree of social standing.
However, following Voldemort's rampage and the mass killing of Muggle-borns, despite coming out on the winning side, Muggle wizards saw their status plummet.
Although Voldemort was defeated, it was done by the infant Harry Potter—a pureblood—who had nothing to do with the Muggle-borns.
The upheaval of recent years resulted in many Muggle-borns losing their lives, further dragging down their already low standing in the magical community.
In the ongoing fight between the two factions of purebloods, Muggle-born wizards were treated as expendable items; they were only acknowledged when needed.
Once victory was achieved, the Muggle-borns would be tossed aside like trash!
Even heroic figures like Carson, who had fought against Voldemort, were now being trampled by purebloods without daring to push back.
This is the reality of Muggle wizards in today's magical world!
"We must take power!"
Lester gestured passionately, earnestly sharing his thoughts with the dark wizards confined in their cells.
As all the prisoners absorbed Lester's stirring speech, he continued without missing a beat.
"If we are not granted power, then we will fight to seize it!"
Silence reigned, an intense silence.
In the vast expanse of Azkaban, only the sound of Lester's heavy breathing filled the air.
One second, two seconds, three seconds.
In that stillness, excitement flushed all the prisoners' faces, their hands gripping the bars with such force that their palms began to pale, their eyes gleaming with determination.
If their sincere feelings had been buried under the injustices of the wizarding world before, now they were flickering back to life.
At this moment, all the prisoners—including Carson—held their breath, knowing they were a powder keg ready to explode; only a single spark was needed to unleash their emotions.
Finally, Lester, aware of the prisoners' inner thoughts, made a move.
He raised his hands high and shouted, "Down with the purebloods!"
"Long live the Muggle-born!!!"
Boom!
Lester's call sparked a fire within the entire prison.
Cheers erupted at once throughout Azkaban.
Even the usually composed Carson was passionately pounding his chest, releasing his pent-up feelings.
Then, like a clap of thunder, applause erupted continuously in Azkaban; every prisoner seemed to lose themselves in the moment, wildly expressing their emotions.
Even as their hands grew sore from the force of their applause, they didn't stop.
"Long live the Muggle-born!!!"
The raucous shouts echoed to the skies, rousing even those locked in high-security cells.
At this pivotal moment, Lester seized the opportunity while the prisoners were filled with fury, needing an outlet.
He swiftly raised his right hand high into the air and shouted, "Free the Ministry of Magic, capture Bernard alive!!!"
"Free the Ministry of Magic, capture Bernard alive!" x100
"Free the Ministry of Magic, capture Bernard alive!" x100
Though they were unsure who Bernard was, they all understood the significance of the Ministry of Magic.
At that moment, under Lester's compelling influence, the prisoners felt a surge of frustration building within them, bursting to be released.
If asked, they would have stormed Hogwarts and taken action without a second thought!
