Talon was still struggling to pull out the taproot, with the help of his friends. 

They couldn't afford to wait any longer; if they did, it would put Robert's leg at serious risk.

Their combined efforts finally paid off—the root was dislodged. 

It came free with a sudden snap, the force almost sending them off balance.

"Talon, what are you going to do with these roots?" one of his friends asked

"We can tie them together and use them as a makeshift rope," Talon replied, his hands already working to knot one end of the root to the other. 

His fingers moved with practiced precision, forming a secure knot that held the roots firmly in place.

Talon then scanned their surroundings, searching for a tree that wasn't too large but sturdy enough to support their descent and climb back up. 

His eyes landed on a medium-sized tree with a solid trunk and thick branches.
