The Chatane Ocean was the body of water that separated the Guwos continent which had been conquered by Demons and the Plomux continent which was still under the control of the Aramisians.

It was an area that both the Aramisians and Gozonian demons didn't dare tread.

These waters were home to a 'Peak' Transcendent Realm Existence, a powerful Sea Serpent who dominated the entire area.

The Aramisians knew him, as 'Yedrist of Chatane' or 'The Leviathan'.

Yedrist, despite being an Aramisian, did not side with them in the war against Gozon, and neither did he jump ships to the demon's side.

He remained Neutral in this war.

Records of Yedrist's existence date back 1000 years of Aramis' history, meaning that the Sea Serpent had been there even longer than the current Divine Year Calendar system.
