That morning, Atreus dismissed most of the security personnel.
Since they were hired on a daily contract and the money had been paid, there wasn't much to discuss.
However, the few bodyguards, including Louis, who continued to serve as security, looked at Atreus with str4nge eyes.
Was it just a coincidence?
The spy girl who had caused trouble last night whimpered through the night, obviously subdued by Atreus, and then the Black Mask group was wiped out afterward?
Any suspicions they had were buried deep inside.
Whether Batman had happened to catch the Black Mask's forces assembling on the beach or Joker's gang had blown up the Black Mask's lair and killed him, it wasn't something lowly bodyguards could interfere with.
All they could say was:
Justice may or may not be delayed, but it always sides with the victor.
Atreus acted like nothing had happened, continuing to play his playboy role as usual.
His latest favorite? None other than the mysterious Ms. Diana Prince.
True to character, Wonder Woman seemed very uncomfortable with restrictive clothing. That morning, after much deliberation, she chose a neutral, gray women's suit.
A gray round hat, a crisp white fitted shirt underneath, a belt accentuating her figure, and tailored slacks below. The outfit perfectly balanced her need for ease in battle while blending seamlessly into modern society.
Seeing the strikingly Beauty Diana, the exhaustion Atreus felt from staying up late last night vanished instantly.
"You look really beautiful dressed like this," Atreus complimented.
"Thank you," Diana accepted the praise gracefully and got straight to the point. "You did well last night."
"You could sense it?" Atreus asked quietly.
"Of course. That evil, corrupt soul disgusted me."
Atreus bowed slightly, letting his gratitude speak for itself.
"Thank you for your support. Besides understanding this world better, I'm eager to know if there's anyone here who can help me."
Atreus made a face, looking troubled.
Girl! You're a GodKiller yourself, and you need help to take on Ares? Isn't this something you could handle on your own?
Of course, Atreus didn't dare say that out loud. He wasn't sure if his memories matched the confusing, mixed-up world he was in.
When it came to gathering intel on all the heroes, Batman undoubtedly had the most comprehensive knowledge. After all, the Dark Knight had files on every hero's strengths and weaknesses, which is why he could later pull off the insane feat of challenging Superman with nothing but mortal strength.
Atreus didn't have access to a database, but that didn't stop him from using his computer's web search to find news and show it to Wonder Woman.
"This world has many beings beyond human understanding. Some are evil, some neutral, and others are superheroes aligned with justice. I'm not exactly sure how strong the Ares of your world is."
"He's certainly stronger than me," Wonder Woman frowned. "In fact, no one on Themyscira has seen Ares in his current form. My mother sent me here, and I trust her judgment."
"Before anything else, could you show me your strength?" Atreus asked.
"Of course!"
They went to an underground training room, where Diana ch4nged back into her Amazonian-style armor with bronze plating.
Atreus didn't grab any weapons. It wasn't that he was pretending to be tough; he genuinely had no idea what gear would be suitable to take on this powerhouse.
The **Lasso of Truth** was just the beginning.
Her **Bracelets of Submission**, made from the remnants of Zeus' shield, could automatically attract attacks and generate force fields capable of deflecting Superman's heat vision.
Then there was her **Sword of Hephaestus**, her **Amazonian Shield**, and the **Royal Tiara**, which she could use as a boomer4ng.
And this was just what she had on her now.
Not to mention the Golden Eagle armor or Hermes' winged sandals she might acquire later in her history.
The only thing Atreus had going for him was the broken remains of the Black Mask, and rather than irritate her, it seemed better to humbly witness what was about to unfold.
Seeing Atreus assume a basic boxing stance from ten meters away, Diana wasn't annoyed. She bent her legs slightly, and the next moment, dust shot out from where she had just been standing.
In the blink of an eye, she crossed a classroom's worth of distance and brought her gleaming round shield crashing down.
So fast!
It was almost like she teleported!
Her speed far exceeded Atreus's visual limits. Just five centimeters from smashing his skull, she halted her shield's downward trajectory, switching from extreme motion to complete stillness.
The sheer terror of the shield hovering just in front of his face overwhelmed Atreus.
And as if her actions had hit a **pause button**, the thunderous boom of her feet slamming into the ground finally reached his ears.
In Atreus's trembling pupils, the awe was evident.
To make matters worse, when he tried to assess her power using his system, the result was a string of question marks.
The system's explanation? **"The target's base attributes exceed the host's by more than tenfold, so the evaluation is replaced with question marks."**
Atreus tried again but got the same response, proving the system couldn't process information far beyond his perception.
"Whew," Atreus exhaled a deep breath.
"Did I scare you? If so, I apologize."
"No, it's just...a bit of Amazonian shock."
The scenes from movies were completely unreliable. Other than the fact that the actors looked like the superheroes in this world, their strength was not something he could use as a reference.
Wonder Woman laughed.
Back in the living room, Atreus opened his computer and displayed a few key figures for her.
He knew full well that Wonder Woman was not someone he could control or influence. She was far too intelligent. If she realized he was stalling or trying to manipulate her, it would only damage their relationship.
So why not just be upfront?
"If you run into these individuals, you could probably get along. But in terms of someone who can truly help you, there are only two."
The images projected onto the home theater screen were of two towering figures.
"Green Lantern and Superman! Green Lantern wields extraordinary power through his ring. And Superman...well, we suspect he's not from Earth because he's far too strong."
As expected, Diana wasn't too interested in the enigmatic Green Lantern, but her attention was fixed on Superman, displayed as a god-like being.
"A god, yet not a god!"
"How can I find him?" she asked.
Atreus took a deep breath. "Don't press me on this. All I can tell you is that he's in nearby New York City. He really doesn't like his life being disturbed. If you 4nger him, the entire Earth could be in d4nger."
Wonder Woman blinked and abandoned the idea of using the Lasso of Truth. Atreus had been honest with her, and she had no reason to pressure him when he clearly had his own reasons.
Atreus had saved her and proven his loyalty. If she forced the issue with a divine artifact, it would make her feel guilty.
"Okay, I understand. Any advice for a friend?"
Atreus suddenly felt as if his heart had been stabbed.
Was that...a friend zone card?
Awkwardly, Atreus rolled his eyes. "Fine, my personal tip—head to the newspaper!"
What did it matter when the world was going to end?
"Thanks a lot!"
Atreus couldn't keep Wonder Woman from leaving. Unlike what he remembered, Wonder Woman wasn't stepping up out of a sense of justice but because her homeland was in d4nger. The urgency of the two situations was on completely different levels.
After spending just one day absorbing basic knowledge, Diana finally left on the speedboat Atreus had provided.
Watching her sail off, Atreus couldn't help but shout at the empty sea, "Damn it! One day, Diana, you'll see that I'm the man you can't have!" and i gonna fuck your mouth and pussy.. and make you my girl..
Logically speaking, there was no way she could hear him from a kilometer away, but on the boat, the corner of Wonder Woman's lips curled into a smile.
That dazzling smile left the random guy driving the boat stunned.
