With the rock in his hands, Zenn activated his power. His head felt a slight bit heavier than usual and his balance was slightly affected. But he did not stop.
He re-read all the information in his head As though he was reciting them aloud. And as if his recital was a spell, changes began showing in the rock.
Light started bending slightly here and there. As if the rock was emitting heat, the light around it made it seem like it was shifting.
And shifting it was as no longer than a few seconds later, the rock was already as too large to fit in his hands. A few more seconds and the rock grew to be tall as his chest.
Seeing as the rock had grown a size wished it to, he stopped. Light topped shifting erratically around the rock and soon returned to how it was before. Well, other than the fact that it was now a few hundred times bigger than before. It seemed like a normal bolder to Zenn.
But of course to the goblins, it would not be too much an exaggeration to say it seemed like a meteor. Zenn of course knew this, and that is why he made it in the first place.
Using all his strength, he pushed the boulder fowards. Of course, his meager strength would not be enough to move the boulder if it was on a stable ground. But luckily for him, it was not. The boulder was already on a. Sloping mountain and the earth was hat too weak to hop it. Just from being on the ground, a crater had already formed.
So although Zenn was not that strong, he still managed to get it rolling.
Boom!
The boulder fell and hit a group of goblins rushing foward.
And like foot that stepped on a group of ants, the boulder squashed every goblin or creature that stood its way. Wherever it hit, rolled or bounced, a red smear on the ground was all to be found.
Boom!
Boom!
Gurr!
The boulder f course did not stop, it went fowards and crushed whoever dared step in its way. And as Zenn had intended for it, the boulder was headed straight for where Komoru stood.
What Zenn found weird though, was how the army of goblins and monsters did not seem to flinch or stop when the boulder took so many of their own. It was almost as if they did not feel fear...
Zenn of course is not focus on the lack of fear among the army. What truly earned his attention was of course the boulder eating for komoru. This whole battle would end if he was to be stopped after all.
But, because the boulder was so large, Zenn was only able to briefly see komoru's figure. And it puzzled him when komoru did not try to escape. It was almost as if he wanted to indure the attack.
It was at that moment that...
CLAP!
...A loud sound that sounded like two forces clashing was heard.
Zenn was shocked.
The boulder stopped.
But it was only for a moment, for less than a second later, the boulder went on as it was before.
The boulder rolled passed and just like it had done before, it left a huge puddle of blood on the ground. Within that puddle of blood, was but a single hammer, limiting dark haze to the surroundings.
Flop! Bam! Wosh Boom!
One by one, the hundreds of thousand creatures that made komoru's army all fell to the ground. Either he flying dragon like creatures or hundreds of goblin troops.
All without fail simply plopped the ground, as if they were machines that lost their batteries.
Boom!
The boulder soon came to it's stop with resounding boom, but after it made its stop known, no other sound could be heard. Silence covered the land as the death that grew bigger very passing second was laid out bare for all to see.
It then made sense to Zenn, all these creatures were never alive from the moment he saw them. They have all long been dead. The only thing that kept them 'alive' was komoru. And once he died, they returned to their originally dead state.
"Necromancer."
One who can raise he dead and command them as he or she wished. A somewhat common word when it comes to either novels or games. Usually used as some sort of class or a superpower the main character has.
Zenn had always like such novels and would prefer it if he could choose said class in a game. But as he saw the thousands of little corpses scattered around the mountain, it did not seem pretty. It did not look cool as it was portrayed to be.
It was horrifying.
And although the bodies were very small and their psychological impact on Zenn was small, such a great amount of them scared him too.
It the feeling any human being would feel if they saw a thousand dead birds scattered on their lawn. Although it is not as horrifying as a single dead human body, it is still not something a person wanted to see.
As such, Zenn decided to immediately leave. He went off and found the two goblins. Originally, the two were hidden behind a very large rock, but as of current, the goblins queen, Zuri was on top of the rock. She looked at the many corpses scattered on the mountain and tears beyond her control streaked down her cheeks.
When Zenn saw her saddened expression, he could not help.but be sad himself.
'How stupid of me, these arent birds or mere animals. They are her people.'
But even so, Zenn could only sigh. He did not know how to comfort her or make her pain a lot less than it is now. So he did what he knew he best, he stayed silent.
