Chapter 27: burrying the dead
In the once seemingly barren land, a group f trees now occupied a small space among the mountains. With the lack of simillar trees around, the littel 'forest' looked really conspicuous. But if one was to arrive to this land, what would really catch ones attention would not be the weird tree of varying sizes, but instead the large person who sat among the trees. Although he was actually sitting down, not a single trees proved tall enough to reach his shoulders.
With a pull, Zenn was able to pluck a small fruit among the few fully grown trees. If one was attententful, one would notice that among the many trees, only the very small one were fully grown. The 'small' one however, were not fully grown. Although many of them were times bigger than some fully grown trees, these plants were clearly still bidding.
Of course there was a reason for such an event to occur.
During his time acceleration testing, Zenn has discovered a lot of thing about his newly acquired power.
What he discovered was that the energy used to accelerate time varied from object to object. For instance, the smaller seed would not use much energy, while seeds he specifically increased in size all took lots of energy to grow. Energy o which he does not have. That was why the smaller trees were all fully grown while the large trees still looked like either bids or little plants.
Zenn's original intention was to made the plants as big as the ones in his original world or possibly exceed them. But because of the energy consumption, making very large trees seemed like a wasteful thing. It would be much more effective to just make normal(finger sized) trees instead. When he gets hungry, he could just pluck a fruit and make it bigger.
And make it bigger he did. With a bite, he chewed on the fruit in his hands.
'I think I am getting used to this bitter taste.'
With a few more chewing...
'I miss apples...'
With another bite, Zenn wondered if the goblins had any other fruit types that tasted better than this fruit. In fact, with his new power, it did not have to be a fruit, just some seeds will do.
And with merely that thought in mind, Zenn looked around. And as if the two sensed him looking for them, he saw them walking towards him.
After he swallowed the biter fruit bitterly, he Ex pressionlessly looked at the two goblins below. As the 'creator lord,' Zenn did not speak first. He waited for the two to express their intentions.
"You wish to go and hurry all your brethren?"
"Yes lord. It is our goblin tradition that fallen heroes must be sent off with a proper burial. Although with only the two of us, it would be far from hpw its should be, it is better than nothing."
"I see. You can do as you wish."
"Thank you lord."
The two of them stood up and headed towards the mountain where he hundreds of once controlled corpses lay. Zenn on the other hand wanted to focus on his knowledge understandings. After all, the mpre he knows, the closer he should be to leaving thing place.
But it was then that Zenn remembered what happened yesterday. When all the corpses suddenly dropped like puppets with their strings cut. Whenever he remembered that, Zenn felt his heart unsettle. But as he remembered the many corpses on and below the mountain, he could not help but remember Zuri's saddened and crying face.
Zenn then sighed.
'There was so many corpses on the mountain, how are they going to burry them all?'
With that, he then stood up.

It was still morning as the sun was still at the first half of the sky. But due to his watch become irrelevant, Zenn was unable to see time it really was. So he could only refer using the sun.
It was at that time that Zenn and the two tiny goblins in his hands finally reached the top of the mountain. With Zenn's large feet, it really did not take long to reach the top. This led the goblins to be very grateful to Zenn, as withiut him, it might have taken hours just to get there
But their grateful faces turned to shock as a something that they all never expected unfolded itself in their eyes.
The corpses were gone!
Weather it was the near millions of goblins or the thousands of beasts and monster like creatures, all of them were gone!
Not a single one. Not even their blood was left. Only the marks and large many craters formed by the giant rocks decent was all that was left. It was the only proof thy they ever existed in the first place.
"W-where are they?"
The queen was distraught. Disbelief and confusion was all she expressed. Ena beside we was slightly better, but he was not much different. He was just as confused.
Zenn on the other hand was also confused, but he did not show it. Only his slightly squinted eyes were barely proof of his surprise.
As three moved further down he mountain, and with every step, he news seem to concert itself in their minds.
The bodies were gone!
Not even a single one was left. Well, almost nothing. As when Zenn reached the bottom of the mountain, he noticed something. It was very small as it could barely be seen. It's littel handle was as small as a needle, it's head could barely size to a small bead. Maybe it was because of its metallic exterior or maybe there was that something different about It, but Zenn noticed it.
The god's hammer.
