When lawyers Sarah Newsum and Derek Johnson are asked to represent the eccentric paranormal content creator Avery Kim, who is a suspect in a murder case, they are clearly hesitant (along with every other lawyer). Claiming that evil spirits took the life of Theodore Williams, Avery's only evidence supporting this is because he can see ghosts. However, when his videographer, Duke Wes, emails Sarah claiming to have irrefutable evidence backing Avery's claim, the law firm agrees to meet.
