When Ellie turned into ashes before his eyes by the flame spit by the Ghost Rider before him, Louis asked if the problem was solved, worriedly eyeing him.
Who would not be afraid if they met a Ghost Rider so close?
RA... RA... RA...
"IT'S JUST THE BEGINNING... WE HAVE A WHOLE FOREST BEFORE US."
With a muffled laugh that sent a shiver down Louis's spine, the Ghost Rider shook his head and pointed at the forest behind the backyard of Louis's house where the pet cemetery is located, with a fiery glint in his hollow eyes.
Honk... Honk...
With a horn sound, a truck swiftly passed the house.
Seeing this, the Ghost Rider looked at the way the truck left, not even paying attention to the surroundings.
"Are we going to the pet cemetery?"
Edward walked closer and asked the Ghost Rider, who was still looking in the direction where the truck left.
"BEFORE THAT, WE NEED TO GO TO ANOTHER PLACE. LET'S GO..."
Just when the Ghost Rider was about to move, the car they had rented came over and parked at Louis's house's front yard beside his car.
From inside, Alice and Rosalie walked out and came near.
"Is the case already solved?"
Seeing Jojo, Edward, and Freya coming out of the house behind them, Louis's family followed closer due to panic regarding the event they had experienced.
Rosalie raised her eyebrow and asked Jojo in Ghost Rider form, giving him a confused look.
According to Jojo's earlier evaluation, shouldn't this case be more tricky and difficult to solve compared to other cases they have solved?
"Jojo, I had a vision after you guys left. There are many of them deep inside."
Alice skipped towards the Ghost Rider and informed him about the vision she had while she and Rosalie were on the way here in the car.
"I KNOW... THAT'S WHY IT'S A TRICKY CASE. BUT FIRST, LET'S SOLVE THE ISSUE BEFORE OUR EYES."
Nodding at Alice, whom he had already sensed, he started walking towards Jud's house.
Seeing the Ghost Rider walking towards Jud's house, Louis's eyes suddenly widened and turned to his wife, who was carrying Gage with complicated eyes.
"He already knew it... He was the one who asked me to bury Church there, and I did it, but I didn't know Church would come back alive. So... so I thought Ellie might also come back."
Wanting to inform the powerful group before him from DMC, Louis gulped and explained how he knew about this place.
"And you buried our daughter thereby stealing her body from her grave..."
With clear anger visible on her face, Rachel's every word made Louis lower his head in guilt.
"I... I thought Ellie would come back to us."
With a frustrated look on his face, Louis expressed his side of the opinion.
"Don't make me say something that I might regret someday."
Uttering those words, Rachel picked up her pace, freeing herself from Louis's help, with the pain visible on her face due to the injury she had during the confrontation with Ellie.
Due to the sharpness, the knife was a little dull; although the knife was stabbed, it didn't go deep.
PUFF~
With a puff of smoke like the fire was being extinguished, Jojo turned to his human form, went to the door, and hid beside it. He signalled the others to hide in the woods beside Jud's house.
Swoosh~
Seeing the signal Jojo was giving, others climbed the trees, looking at the house.
Biffer jogged around the house in a smoky form where the fire became light like it was just about to extinguish, and dark smoke emanated from it.
"Mr. Louis, make him come out casually."
Noticing everyone was in position, Jojo whispered in a low voice and asked Louis to call Jud out.
Looking at Jojo, who was a second before the Ghost Rider, now a normal human, Rachel and Louis looked at him shocked.
Even more shocked when the people accompanying him, who seemed to be normal humans, suddenly vanished from their place.
Knock... knock...
Nodding, Louis went to the door and knocked twice.
Bang... bang... bang...
Seeing there was no response for a few seconds, Louis once again knocked on the door loudly.
Click... creak...
With a click, the door opened, and Jud looked outside, confusedly at Louis and his family standing before him.
"Is there a problem, Mr. Louis?"
Jud asked with concern visible on his face.
Cough... cough...
Thud~
A hand suddenly caught the door handle, and with a cough, a young man walked beside Louis with a grim expression.
"Mr. Jud, there is a problem, not for him but for you."
Hearing Jojo, who was claiming he was in danger, Jud looked at him confusedly.
"Shall we speak inside?"
Looking at the confused look, Jojo pointed inside.
With a nod, Jud allowed him and the Louis family to enter his house.
He knew Louis's family and became friends with them after they moved here.
He also feels guilty and thinks he caused Ellie's death by showing Louis the cursed place.
Sigh~
"Let me come straight to the point, Mr. Jud... You are the guardian who protects the normal humans from them and is responsible for hunting them down, right?"
With a sigh, Jojo came straight to the point directly to Jud.
When Jojo mentioned being a guardian to Jud, his old face suddenly changed in shock, and his eyes widened.
He was shocked because all the other guardians, including his father, died while protecting the village from the people who came back alive after being buried there in 1969.
Only he, his wife Norma, and his friend Manny, who left after that incident where his sister became one of the victims and died, were left.
At that time, he and his girlfriend Norma stayed behind, and he took the mantle of protecting the village.
Now the young man before him knows this thing which has been buried for years now.
"How... how did you know?"
In shock, Jud asked Jojo, who was sitting opposite him.
"That's not important... If you are the guardian, why did you bring Louis to the land beyond the pet cemetery?"
Shaking his head, Jojo questioned Jud with narrowed eyes.
Listening to the conversation between them, both Rachel and Louis also looked at Jud with narrowed eyes, waiting for his answer.
Even though they didn't fully understand what was happening, they got a picture of the discussion.
They understood that Jud was a guardian who was responsible for preventing any normal humans from entering the place behind the pet cemetery.
Sigh~
"It's my fault. I shouldn't have brought him there. Because of that, the cat caused Ellie's death."
With a guilty look, Jud admitted he made a huge mistake by bringing Louis there and making the Church come back alive.
"How dare you do this to us? Because of you, this idiot beside me buried Ellie there."
Hearing Jud admit he made a huge mistake, Rachel gripped Jud's collar and screamed in anger.
Because of the two people before her, she lost her daughter.
"What?! Louis, didn't I warn you one should not bury any humans there?"
Hearing Rachel's words, Jud's face turned dark. He turned to Louis and asked him, shocked.
"We must stop your daughter before she kills anyone."
Jud stood hurriedly, went to the drawer, took a revolver, and checked it had bullets.
"You don't need to worry about it. We had already taken care of it."
Seeing Jud looking anxious hearing Louis had buried Ellie there, Jojo calmly stopped him.
Crunch~
Just when Jojo was explaining and introducing himself to Jud, they heard a glass window crunching upstairs.
Bang~
With a bang, Edward and a woman blasted from the wall from upstairs.
Edward held the woman tightly while his nose was covered by his t-shirt.
The woman in his grip struggled fiercely to free herself, but she couldn't escape.
Seeing Edward had caught a woman, Rosalie, Alice, and Freya appeared beside Edward and looked at the woman who was struggling with narrowed eyes.
"Norma!!!"
Hearing the commotion, Jojo and others came out and looked at the woman Edward had caught.
Just when Jud looked at the woman, his whole body stiffened, his eyes shrank, and his heartbeat increased.
Only one word came out of his mouth upon seeing the mysterious woman is his wife.
