Standing by the window sill, Liliana quietly let her gaze fall on Cassia. Her mother was sleeping on the bed. Distress was expressed on her countenance instead of peace.

The clock was pointing to twelve-fifteen in the morning. It was bound to be a very long night for both of them.

"Now... time to set up the last stage."

Liliana's whisper echoed softly inside the quiet room. Her mind recalled the last few hours when she spent her time explaining everything to her mother as well as comforting her.

As expected, Cassia had a hard time accepting what Liliana was saying. She kept crying silently thus, forcing her daughter to stop. Cries echoed sorrowfully inside the private ward.
