Instead of going to sleep directly after showering, Liliana chose to spend some time reading a newly bought novel.

She sat in the living room, on her favorite couch, accompanied by the huge plushie cat. A sleeveless silk nightgown adorned her slender body. Her soft wavy hair was let loose, draping over one shoulder.

The glass sliding door was opened wide, allowing the wind to blow into the apartment. The breeze gently tousled Liliana's hair and caressed her face.

From the balcony, one could easily see the lake. Its surface was twinkling with sparkles, coming from the soft glow of the moonlight. The view was simply magical.

"Lili, aren't you sleepy?"

The exhausted Nancy threw the question at Liliana. She came out of the guest room to get some water in the kitchen. Her hair was put up into a messy bun.

"Later," answered Liliana without looking at Nancy. She flipped to another page, her focus was on the book, "I wanna read a few more chapters."
