Carlos stood staring at the door, his hands repeatedly rising up and eventually falling down at his side. He was in a dilemma, he wanted to see Aimee but he couldn't tell whether his intrusion would be welcomed.

Judging from her personality, it was a miracle she was still keeping the baby but that wouldn't be for long. The month was eventually coming to an end, he had just a few days to spare and he needed not a prophet to tell him he hadn't made much progress on making her keep the baby. 

His grandma would surely not allow her only grandchild to be removed but the rest was in Aimee's hands - she was the baby's mother. They could only plead with her, not force her to keep the baby.
