"Where are we going?" Nessa asked Damon after they drove for a while. They hadn't said a word to each other after the drama at her place. 

"To my place," He said to her then asked, "Or did you know somewhere else you want to be?" 

"No," Nessa quickly shook her head, "Your place would be fine," In case he does come back to his senses, Gary wouldn't get into Damon's easily - he would have to first bypass the security.

"Are you okay?" He asked. 

"Do I look okay?" Nessa shot back, annoyed by the question.

"Of course, you wouldn't," He muttered. That was a stupid question to ask anyway. Heck, he would feel dejected if he was in her shoes.

"I'm sorry," He said to her. 

"Why should you be sorry, Damon? If anyone should apologize to me, it would be my father," Nessa retorted, folding her arm across her chest stubbornly.
