The eyes that yearned for a long time to see each other have finally met.
Shane and Giselle feared as they turned back expecting to see some intruder trying to attack them.
As soon as they met the person-in-charge of the voice, silence swept in the air. All frozen the moment all came into contact.
Rooted in their places, it looked like they have all gone deaf at the moment. Shane stood there; his body froze from the situation that's happening right now.
However, for Giselle, when she turned around to look, her eyes went wide. They fell on the pair of hazel brown eyes that stood in awe in front of her.
For a moment, everything around them has vanished into air, as if it's just the two of them alone in the place. Their eyes locked on each other, blue vs. hazel brown, gasping every second as they delved deep into each other's vision. They both struggled against reality, trying to defy it so hard. After all, who knew what fate will bestow upon them?
Is it fate that brought them again after so many years?
Or is it just an accident which should be avoided or forgotten like their past.
Unable to control themselves, their bodies started getting weak. Lillian stopped breathing; her mouth wide-opened, eyes squinted to look further noticing every detail of Giselle's face. They all seem to match with the girl from her memories. Is this a dream? Lillian's mind raced with billions of questions? Her heart, beating louder and louder, as she kept staring at the woman in front of her who looked like the grown-up version of her first love.
What do I do?
What do I do?
Their heartbeats rose per second as if it is going to burst soon.
The one who wanted to scare is now shocked. The one who got scared is also in shock.
What kind of twist is this?
'Why am I seeing her?'
Lillian's thoughts went wild rewinding past images.
'Why do I keep seeing those blue eyes of hers that used to follow me everywhere I go? The eyes that looked at me with all the love and affection. The eyes that made me go crazy and turned me into a freak. The eyes that I desperately searched for ages. The eyes that I still long to see. Her face, her hands, she's grown up into a beautiful woman. Is she my Giselle? Is she the one who used to stalk me every day after school?'
'Is she my Giselle? I want to hold her, I want to touch her, I want to see her, her smile that used to melt me. Where is it now? Why isn't she smiling? Is she not happy looking at me? Have I become unworthy for her to not smile at me? We used to be close. We should have been close. Why did you leave Giselle?'
...
Lillian exhaled loud to catch her breath which stopped for the past few seconds. However, her mind didn't stop thinking about Giselle.
'Where did you go?
What happened to you?
It should have been us.
I changed for you. And then you left me alone.
I was angry at you.
I turned into this monster. You left me alone in this world.
No one looks at me like you do anymore.
No's there to love me as you did.
But, why?
Why again?
Why are you here now?
Why am I seeing you now?
Am I hallucinating?
Or am I dead?
Tell me, god, please,
Tell me, Giselle?
What should I do now?
Why do I keeping thinking about you?
Why do I want to love you?
Why do I want you in my life?
Why?'
Lillian stood there in silence while her brain wrecked itself.
It's emotional for me too. When I created these characters and separated them, I want nothing but an emotional ride when they would meet each other in the future.
The future arrived. It moved me.
I hope it did for you as well.
This chapter is mostly about Lillian's reaction, her thoughts and so.
Next chapter will be about Giselle's. Stay tuned and keep enjoying my novel.
Thank you and take care.
