Bridgette's walk down the corridors was satisfied with delightful sonances that she had expected.
Students were seen discussing the sudden broadcast that took over the school like a hurricane. Bridgette noticed it all to her entertainment.
Girls panicking from the creepy stalker that got exposed, Boys discussing if they had ever had an encounter with this lesbian, finally, the officials, the school authorities cracking their heads to calm down this matter.
The last few minutes of the lunch break filled with rackets from every corner of the school buildings obstructed the silence.
Bridgette's satisfaction didn't restrain as the girl appeared to be savoring this scene, and people ditching Giselle character appeased her spirit. It made her forget the whole Carmel and Josh incident.
It made her happy; feel peaceful because she had taken perfect revenge to ruin the rest of Giselle's quiet days in her high school life. Now, after this great act, Giselle won't be able to stand up again or live ordinarily.
Bridgette had gone and done it. However, this has been the first time that she has ever gone to such great lengths to take revenge or have that satisfaction of dominating a weak. Usually, it would be her dragging the victim's life by treating them as a slave, and as she gets bored out of it, she would leave them unbothered.
Nonetheless, Giselle's presence in her life only made it worst for Bridgette as she decided to correct it by doing something vile as this incident to let others know, who's the boss?
'The perfect revenge for Giselle is accomplished and successful.'
'Now, that bitch can't move a leg from this.'
Bridgette sneered her way back to the classroom and found two of her friends to be seated there with a repulsive expression.
Sara and Carmel were seen dismayed after looking at Bridgette's return.
Sara looked at her with a scared expression while Carmel's inside was fuming with hot waves.
Bridgette modeled her way to the seat. Carmel leaned slightly towards Bridgette's direction and faced her.
"Why did you do it?" Carmel charged.
Bridgette scorned.
"I'm asking you, Bridgette. WHY DID YOU DO IT?"
"Didn't we already have a discussion, that taunting Giselle was the only plan and not unveiling the video to all?"
"Answer me, Bridgette."
Carmel's words appeared to have fallen on deaf ears. Bridgette didn't bother to react.
Not because she wants to address her decision, but a rage of high-level jealous and anger made Bridgette not respond to her friend. Personal vengeance upon Giselle is essential, but the incident with Carmel flirting with Josh was the real trigger behind Bridgette's doing. The once seen as friendship bond started to break. The only feelings Bridgette has for Carmel now is pure hatred and jealousy.
The blond girl kept a stoic face and never budged a fraction to reply. Carmel, who waited patiently, was interrupted by Sara to abort the conversation.
"Leave it, we'll talk later to her," Sara whispered to Carmel.
Carmel followed as it seemed to be the right action for now.
The three remained on their seats amidst the loud atmosphere.
…
Ivy, on the contrary, sprinted back to the class. She, like everyone else, heard the entire broadcast and it flipped her mind apart. After several warnings, Ivy believed in her friendship, but all had gone wrong. She was fooled and ignored by her best friend and then played the game by herself.
Ivy, not only did she feel worried over the consequences of her friend's behavior, but was also raging in flames for Bridgette's attitude. Ivy too didn't approve Bridgette's decision to reveal their secret recording.
As she sprinted back to her class, Ivy replayed her last night conversation with Bridgette.
***
The previous night:
Ivy and Bridgette were talking through phones for a long time. Out of nowhere, Bridgette asked about Giselle.
"Do we all own a copy of Giselle's confession?" Bridgette asked.
Ivy responded. It was the initial idea to have them circulated within their gang, but Carmel denied by responding that more copies would become a problem in the future. Carmel didn't want the video and found it a serious issue, to begin with, having someone's confession recorded secretly isn't a justified action.
Sara agreed to it, and thus, the three: Bridgette, Ivy, and Sara shared the video within themselves.
The original owner of the video was Ivy. She recorded it for fun, and Bridgette found it interesting to manipulate the data to her amusement.
Bridgette was the first one to seek eagerly for the recording from Ivy, and then it spread out within their circle.
"I still can't digest that we have a lesbian in our class. Man, I wish how Mike would feel after coming to know that his girl loves girls in general."
Bridgette's laughter broke out through the phone as the girl kept ditching about Giselle and her little secret.
"What if we release the video?" Bridgette popped the question out of nowhere.
Ivy got startled by the idea and lectured her friend to stop thinking of such things.
"Do not play with it, Bri."
"Not only it isn't our right to share that video, but it also involves that Lillian girl. Who knows what she would do?"
"She's crazy and the rudest."
Bridgette attended to her friend getting all worked up in fear of messing with the lesbian girl and her crush, Lillian the beast. After several minutes, Ivy made Bridgette to swear an oath of not sharing the video or do anything with the video without any permission from the others.
Bridgette glowered but still promised her friend.
Ivy had the faintest doubt over Bridgette's sudden obsession with the lesbian girl and her newly discovered admirer. Instead of directly pointing it out, Ivy kept indirectly urging her friend not to play around.
Their last night conversation went on and on about Giselle and the recording until Ivy had to come up with a fake excuse to cut their talk. Ivy felt uneasy about it.
'I warned her over and over for shit like this.'
Ivy thought on her way back to the class. She was highly disappointed and heavily feared over the aftermath.
***
Mike was in the lavatory during the whole broadcast and rushed out to hear the rest of the story. When he did, it agitated him. The guy barfed. He went through all of the images of Giselle, patiently rejecting him despite his desperate efforts. It tasted sickening from all of his behaviors with Giselle. Soon, his guilt took over him as he felt worst from tormenting a girl who was clearly out of his league.
Meanwhile, Josh Ryder, when heard Bridgette's announcement felt depressed and sad for Giselle. His hatred for Bridgette only intensified when the girl didn't even bother to think before acting and destroyed a classmate's life for the sake of bullying.
'It is one's own right to choose the moment for coming out, and not for others to decide.' – Josh prayed that someone would help Giselle in this stage.
***
Silence maintained amongst the three throughout the whole time.
Anna and Diego looked bewildered from the broadcast. However, Anna had a slight image of the other girl from the recording.
It was her friend, Lillian Grey.
The way the other girl rejected Giselle in that recording clip seems to resemble the image of her friend, Lillian Grey. Plus, Lillian recently admitted getting confessed by a mysterious person whose name, Lillian hasn't revealed. Added to that, Lillian was never open about the confession too. All this made Anna doubt her friend, but not too much. She lacked evidence and thus avoided confronting her friend based on intuition.
Also, the voice from the recording clip didn't sound like Lillian. Anna and everybody else too, were not aware of the fabrication done by Bridgette, because no one can point out who the other person from the audio.
Anna noticed her friend getting insanely combative. It reflected on their arm wrestling match. Anna noted Lillian's narrowed eyes seemed vexed. Her shoulders stiff as still. When Diego joked about Lillian's triumph, they got no response from the girl. Instead, Lillian faced down, her eyes fixated on the floor, brows lowered and drawn together as Lillian tightened her grip harder that Diego snapped out of his victory ambition and instantly, gave in to Lillian's intensity. His hand left with a bruise from Lillian's constraint.
"Ouch-" Diego screamed from the obvious pain.
It brought Lillian back to reality. She glanced at her friends and then around to find an almost empty cafeteria with only a few people left, who appeared to be already gossiping with each other.
Lillian stood up quickly and said,
"Help me find Giselle."
The guys got alarmed from the tone Lillian used: determined, firm, and in need of help. She sounded desperate, which made her friends agree to it without any follow up questions. They did it for her.
Plus, it only seems fair to help a classmate who's in trouble.
Nice, I liked this chapter!
