The lunch bell rang, and Giselle remembered to meet Jamie during lunch. She stood up to leave the place and head straight to the Music room where Jamie will be waiting for her.
The school's music room, located on the top floor also serves the purpose as the band's studio with a small setup; allowing the students to record songs and create music together.
The music room has equipped with soundproof materials and built in an enclosed environment. Only the students who participate in the music activities are allowed to use the room without any permission. Jamie, as one of the band members, has such access to her powers.
Giselle made a quick stop to the toilet before reaching the music room. After done with her business, she came out to see Lillian Grey standing in front of the mirror, washing her face.
Lillian Grey noticed the girl's presence. The next thing she knew was that they were alone inside the restroom. It is just Giselle and Lillian Grey.
Giselle stammered initially to respond. She preferred to stay quiet and not interact.
...
"Had Lunch?" Lillian asked casually.
Lillian had the best view of Giselle's beauty right now which tempted her to gawk at the girl intensely. Lillian felt she is in the presence of an Angel. It startled her as she waited for Giselle's answer.
Giselle shook her head in denial. She decided to meet Jamie first and then have lunch.
Unspoken sensations swirled in the air making it feel dense for one to react.
"I can easily say that you don't fit into their world," Lillian spoke again.
This time she didn't want it to be too casual and focused on getting her point across.
Giselle stood in silence. She knew it deep in her heart that those words were genuine. Giselle doesn't belong with them. She lived her life peacefully before encountering the gossip girls.
Giselle felt like a slave.
Lillian's words broke Giselle. The growing pain becomes unbearable especially when it's being pointed out by someone that you care. However, Lillian continued to talk,
"It is never my right to prey on what others do,"
"However, you need to be careful with those girls. Maybe you're hanging out with them for a reason but, stay alert and be aware of who you're rolling with as they might bring you down." Lillian advised.
Giselle breathed at Lillian's comment. As someone who had become their victim, Giselle knew the girls' capability more than anyone.
Lillian stood there staring at Giselle in silence,
"I apologize for being rude the last time. It was immature of me to behave in such a way. And, I feel that you're not the cause of anything that they've been doing recently?"
Giselle's eye widened from those words. Even if it for a second, Giselle rejoiced. Back from their weekend clash, Giselle held a bit of sadness for making Lillian angry. However, listening to the same Lillian now apologizing and saying that she doesn't think Giselle is bad moved the girl to her tears.
"You look like you're in pain and about to explode," Lillian said.
She then noticed Giselle's expression hardening intensely. It alarmed her.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Lillian asked calmly. She didn't want to frighten the girl.
Giselle shook her head and rejected the offer.
"Thanks," - was the only reply Lillian received from Giselle.
"You know I can't help you if you don't talk about it."
Lillian waited for Giselle to reply. There was no response. Lillian exhaled,
"I'll be waiting, Giselle."
Giselle looked up to face Lillian whose eyes were beaming with energy.
"Remember, just one word, and I'll be there for you." She smiled at Giselle.
That's it.
Giselle couldn't handle it anymore.
To avoid Lillian noticing her tears, Giselle paced out of the restroom but quickly halted when Lillian spoke again.
"By the way, You look beautiful."
It shocked Lillian herself to admit saying those words. However, she knuckled her fingers hard to control the embarrassment.
"A-Anna thought you looked like an Angel. I mean, you do look stunningly attractive today."
Giselle flinched at those words. A happy smile crossed her face along with her racing heartbeats. Tears of pain washed away and transformed into joy. She turned to face Lillian and found the commenter frozen at her place.
Lillian, who's feeling awkward now, puffed. Before turning into a big red tomato from blushing, Lillian spoke her final words,
"Anyways, take care and be careful with those girls."
"Bye"
Lillian said in a hurry and dashed out of the place lightning speed.
Giselle stood inside the restroom in silence. Whatever that had happened just now shocked the girl to her core.
…
Giselle traveled her way to the top floor of the school building. As expected, she spotted no one roaming around the corridors. It was empty and hushed.
She remembered Lillian's advice to stay alert and be careful.
Giselle felt strangely anxious.
The calming atmosphere slowly began to haunt her.
Giselle waited no more as she sprinted her way to the Music room. She opened the door and called out for Jamie.
"Jamie, I've arrived."
Giselle's words fell into the trash. She looked ahead to find two people standing.
'Jamie invited someone else too?' - Giselle thought.
The room is in pitch black dark with no lights turned on.
"Why are you guys standing in the dark?"
Giselle said, moving on to find the switch. It was hard to move around in the dark. After a quick exploration, Giselle failed miserably. She couldn't find the damn switch.
Then suddenly, to her rear end where she found Jamie and another person standing had their lights turned ON.
Giselle bounced from her spot.
From the light, she spotted two figure facing her with a blunt expression.
It isn't Jamie or her friend.
"What are you two doing here?" Giselle asked.
"Welcoming you."
"You look pretty good today, Giselle."
Bridgette said and sneered.
"Isn't she looking stunning, today?" Bridgette asked the person standing next to her.
"Come on, Mike. Say it. Don't be shy." Bridgette urged Mike to speak.
But the guy didn't respond. His gaze only fixed on Giselle and watched her every movement attentively.
