I woke up in a tent feeling pain on my back. The faint smell of my mate in the air. I looked over to my side to see Cody reading a book, still not noticing that I was awake. ...Mate. Was all I could get out in a hoarse dry voice.
Cody's head snapped up from my sudden voice. I'll get you water Alpha. Cody left me in the tent. How did I get here? Is that kid okay? Why is my mates scent here? Did someone tell him? I snapped out of my thoughts with Cody entering the room.
Why... mate here? Was all I could ask, even though my head was filled with unanswered questions.
I had no choice Alpha. Cody said after sitting back down, handing the water to me. I took a sip, feeling my dry throat becoming less sore. He almost killed a servant girl who talked about what happened to you. I almost choked on the water, ignoring that Cody continued. In order to calm him down, I told. I don't regret it alpha. I glared at him. He saved your life. Cody continued, pretending to not see my death glare. Did you know he's half-dragon? Cody whispered the last part.
I snapped out of my glare hearing the last part. Dragon?! He didn't tell me...
Cody continued. He hasn't been able to control his dragon, thanks to his lack of control over his emotions.
I... want to see... my mate. Was all I said.
Yes Alpha. With that Cody left the tent. I was still laying down and left alone once more.
About a half-hour later I smelled my mates scent overpower my nose. Ah, I missed his scent. I sat up in bed and gathered my strength to walk out to greet my savior.
To my surprise, a black ball flew into my arms. A strong scent emitting from it. Mate. My mind was telling me. An eye peeked open, looking at me. Then the ball had arms and legs. Dragon?! They weren't lying. The smell of fish and his licking face brought me out of my thoughts. I teased him about his breath, and he jumped out of my arms pouting.
He asked me if I was okay with his new side I discovered. Is he an idiot? Even though we met about 3-4 months ago, my heart was already his. After reassuring him, he jumped into the car Cody had prepared and jumped in. Is he a dog or what? I thought.
Getting in the car, I teased him about his behavior. After him expressing he wasn't a dog, he laid his head on my lap and fell asleep. I put my hand on his back, and tiredness swept me off my feet again.
I was pulled out of my dream by Cody calling my name. A-alpha, I think you should... cover you mate up. Cody was blushing. I looked down to see my mate in human form, with his Willy dangling out. I couldn't help but burst into laughter. His head still on my lap, I went under the seat and grabbed a blanket.
Covering my mate up, and thinking of how I would tease him. For the rest of the car ride, I was watching him in amusement.
We finally got to the packhouse. I got out of the car and went to Zeno's side. I picked him up, wrapping him more securely so he wouldn't get cold from the night chills. I carried him in the bridal style all the way to our room. Thinking that if me and my mate weren't so tired I would take him right here.
Placing him under the sheets, I took off my clothes, leaving the bandages on, joining my mate in bed.
