He didn't have any merit in their eyes, while Gamasiel was proven to be a great knight that contributed to the empire for so many battles. However, Gaum seemed to be nonchalant about this, instead he fired all officials that were against his new status as the king of Rhea and reformed the ministry.

Also, Author wonders, why is no one ever supported a second ML? Gaum? Tuskan? Charles?
