The drive took about twenty minutes from where they started. The sky was still dark, and Angela wasn't sure where they were at the moment. They couldn't be in Harbor or Mayne. It was an area she hadn't been to before. The SUV turned to a dirt path, drove towards the mountains, crossed a bridge, and then continued forward until they reached a foresty location where tall trees surrounded a large cabin.
The cabin had a dark wood exterior, but it had tall glass windows all around—a combination of modern and traditional design. It was beautiful. There was no one inside as it was dark, making Angela think this must be some sort of a vacation house or something.
When they came into a full-stop, William assisted Angela out of the vehicle.
While writing this chapter yesterday, I realized something. If you're a reader of my other book: FFTKDT, then you must know it's currently unstable with the updates. It's been so hard for me to write it for months and I blamed it for the lack of Muse in writing the book despite already having the rest of the outline prepared for it. As I got closer to this particular scene in GNA, I think part of the reason why is perhaps I'm waiting for THIS cross to happen. It's been on my mind since last year. A year of scenes clashing together between two books in my head and I'm only just now getting around to it. I'm really hoping FF will go back to its regular update after this. This I will apologize for to my FF readers. Please send me the strength to finally write it until its ending.
