A few minutes later, after Alicia attended to Andrea, she approached Dominic and said, "She's unconscious. I don't know what's wrong with her, but if she doesn't wake up in a few days, there's nothing we can do."
"Have you told her?" Dominic asked, looking at Michonne, who was next to Andrea, and observing her.
"She knows about Andrea's condition."
Dominic nodded, then pulled Alicia into a room and said, "That woman, the one with the sword, knows exactly how to move among the walkers using infected ones with their arms and jaws cut off."
"What do you mean?"
"She uses them to advance and carry her supplies. It's much more convenient than traveling on horseback if we have doubts about the speed of our progress." Dominic was trying to explain his seemingly illogical decisions based on his consistent behavior.
It wasn't easy to explain drastic changes in decisions when they were completely different from the norm.
Alicia nodded, believing that Dominic was interested in the way Michonne used the walkers to travel long distances without being attacked.
"It's good to help them; they seem like good people," Alicia said as she returned with a tray of food for their guests.
They served the food at the table. Sophia, Amanda, and Cristian, who had been gathering firewood from the surroundings, approached. "Who is that person?"
"A guest. We're helping her," Dominic said, having brought water.
Michonne approached after being called by Sophia and said, "Thank you for the invitation."
"No need to thank us. We're just glad you trusted us after all you've been through. Trusting people isn't easy nowadays when anyone can kill you for a plate of food."
This behavior from Dominic's group spoke volumes about them. Michonne at least thought they were civilized, which wasn't common in the survivor groups she had encountered.
Offering food to another person wasn't characteristic of the last few days; not everyone was in a position to do so.
"Where do you come from?" Alicia started the conversation after some time.
"I've been traveling alone for a long time. I don't remember the places I've passed through," Michonne said with a friendly smile.
But at that moment, Sophia, who had recognized Andrea, asked, "Do you know what happened to the people who were with Andrea?"
"I found her alone. Why do you ask?"
"She was in the group my mom and I traveled with," Sophia said, breaking into tears, thinking her mother had died.
Everyone fell silent. Michonne, surprised by the coincidence, held Sophia's hands, trying to comfort her. "Don't worry. They probably got separated because of the walker horde."
"We'll look for them later. We need to repair our communication radio first," Dominic said, standing up after eating.
Alicia nodded, understanding this was what needed to happen next.
