88.23% Flash Marriage: I Married The Alpha Lord Of Tyranny / Chapter 15: 015 ~ Rampage

章節 15: 015 ~ Rampage

As soon as Clara and Zane left his office, Ryder picked up the signed divorce papers. His eyes lingered long enough on them. He was staring at her signature and when he was fed up, he tossed them into his drawer.

"I was really hoping she'd be worth something. All that strength and yet, so useless." He sighed dejectedly and regressed in his seat.

"I don't have much time." His voice was low and his pink eyes glistened.

"Well, with the little time I have left, I should pay my loyal subjects a visit." Once again, his spirit was lifted, and was hell bent on living up to his infamous title 'The Alpha Lord of Tyranny'.

Earlier, he had received a message that a village far off to the south had been spreading rumors about him and he wanted to clear the air with their king.

"A superior being like me dealing with those petty humans?" He nearly threw up in his stomach.

"But they need to be taught a lesson."

The werewolf and the human race had never been on good terms ever since Ryder became alpha. His low tolerance for their indiscriminate behavior led to him getting that title.

Being a hybrid, a notorious one, made him popular across the werewolf community. His terrorism stretched even to the human and vampire domains, any race that threatened his pack or spoke ill of them.

And unfortunately, one human community fell victim to spreading rumors about him. Although he seemed cold and unapproachable on the outside, he still cared for his pack and he would do anything to protect them.

"I'll be back in a few days, probably with a new bride." He informed Zane. "Take care of my people while I get back."

Zane just nodded.

"Anything else, alpha?" He had just come out of Sydney's room, his newly adopted sister, but he didn't want the alpha to know her location for somewhat reason known to him.

"What? Are you in a hurry?" The alpha cocked a brow, followed by a knowing side smile.

"I just... Uhm... Have other things to do." He cleared his throat.

"Alpha," He bowed a little and entered his car. He heaved a sigh of relief and drove off to avoid further questioning. He looked up to the third floor of the building behind him to see Sydney staring down at him. They shared a brief intense eye contact before she closed the curtain.

Not giving a care about what was going on with his ex-wife, Ryder moved to his stable where his horses were kept and picked out his favorite one, Stallion. The stable was located outside the city, a few meters away from where the lack witch lived. Acknowledging his master's presence, Stallion neighed loudly, stomping his feet mightily on the ground. After prepping it for the journey, Ryder ordered the witch to open up a portal that would lead him directly to the village. The witch opened and after crossing the portal, Ryder found himself in a small village.

Nobody recognized him because nobody had ever seen the face of the Alpha of the North, for they had only heard about him and his deeds. Getting off his horse, he tied it to a pole and traveled further into the village. His eyes scanned the perimeters but found nothing interesting. Just naive and fragile humans walking about the place.

The strong scent of alcohol led him to a bar.

"Strange. Poor people like this cannot afford this luxurious scent." He growled. Swiping the blue torn curtain to the left, he poked his head inside to see who was consuming such a priceless drink. It turned out to be some soldiers who were laughing loudly.

"What a bunch of disgrace called warriors." He sneered and went in to order a drink. As per the treaty he had with the rest of the world, he wasn't allowed to cause damage unless there was a tangible reason. Much to his discomfort, he hadn't heard anyone saying anything about him or his pack.

He went to order a drink and sat down opposite the drinking crew. Their laxity annoyed Ryder to the stomach because no warrior sent to protect a city would be drinking this much during the day. He had always thought of humans, above all other races, as stupid and senseless.

"Pfft! Darn alpha of the North. He thinks he's the boss." One of the soldiers spat with hatred sown in his voice.

"I think all werewolves should be eliminated from this world. If you ask me, they're just dogs that need taming."

The crew cheered, supporting their own.

"I wonder what the kings of the twelve cities are saying, especially about that rogue alpha Ryder, the destroyer of nations. His tyranny continues to spread across the world." Another person spoke brutally. At this moment, Ryder felt like pouncing on every one of them but they hadn't said anything derogatory enough to make him break out.

"I wish I had f***ked that his hot dead wife, Mirabel. He didn't deserve such a beautiful woman."

The last tolerant nerve in his body snapped and he grabbed the soldier that made the last sentence. Without giving the man room to object to such violence, Ryder punched him in the face.

He was willing to take in anything concerning him and probably his pack members but not his dead wife.

Ryder pushed his head to the table, smashing the wooden table with it. His smile while injuring him was terrifying, making the others grimace with fear.

"Who--- Who--- are you?" The female among them drew out her sword and pointed it toward Ryder. Just by looking at the sword, it began to burn. She threw it aside painfully and retreated, letting others with weapons take over. All were eager to take the stranger down but when they found out, they couldn't move their bodies, fear came upon them. It soon dawned on them that they weren't dealing with a human.

More soldiers came in, making Ryder wonder where they had been hiding the whole time. Or was it planned? A particular scent was circulated in the air through smoke, instantly alerting Ryder to flee but he felt that even though he was at his weakest, he would still defeat them all singlehandedly.

More of the incense was burned but Ryder was too ignorant to notice and by the time he was done with the 100 soldiers around, he was too weak to breathe. He cleaned the blood splattered all over his face and by the time he was done with his cleanup, he had already been surrounded by more guards.

"Stand down or else..." A raw figure of molded wolfsbane was brandished in front of him. He knew he was at his wit's end when it came to Wolfsbane. Although he was half werewolf, it still had much effect on him as it would on a full wolf.

Grunting at the subtle taste of defeat, he surrendered and his hands were cuffed.

"Pftt!" He sneered, disappointed in himself that he let the human race touch his skin. He was taken straight to their king, a middle-aged man who appeared ruthless.

"He should be beheaded." One of the councilmen yelled but the king silenced him with the flick of a finger.

"You destroyed my village, alpha of the North. How do you intend to suffer the consequences?" The King asked, his voice low but audible enough for Ryder to hear.

"You should have warned your lowlifes to bridle their tongues. Not everything should be said. Some should be kept in their brains, you know, so it wouldn't be completely emptied out." He smirked. The wolfsbane was kept in front of him, instantly weakening his strong resolve.

"For a brute man, you do resort to cheap tricks. But then again, that's what all of you are, cowards." He spat, mockery meshed in every word he declared.

"Enough!" The King turns, scaring the councilmen and the guards but not Ryder.

"You will die!"
