Caroline stared blankly at Haward as she was a little hurt by his reaction. It turned out that even Haward didn't believe that she was together with a prominent individual like Eddison.

"Miss Simons, I can tell that your husband is wealthy, and definitely of a high social status too. I've helped you countless times in the past. Isn't it a little rude for you to lie to me about this? If your husband is really the president of the Zellweger Group, then I might as well buy everyone dinner at a five-star restaurant!" Haward said.

Caroline could only smile awkwardly at his remarks.

"Alright, it's time to get off work. Just help me get the gifts downstairs. I can't do this alone," Caroline said.

Despite his accusation of Caroline's lies, Haward didn't refuse to help her.

Other colleagues had already got off work. Upon seeing them, they waved at Caroline and Haward on their way out.
