Recently, Mu Ru had been seeing more of Dongfang Jun.
2Dongfang Jun was two years older than her. They were both students at Binda University. Technically, he was her senior.
2Since she couldn't go to school, Dongfang Jun came up with a plan to help her.
2He had intended to buy a recording pen to give to Mu Ru's good friend, Cheng Feier. Cheng Feier would turn on the recording pen during class, and then he would return in the afternoon and give it to Mu Ru. With it, Mu Ru could study at home and catch up with the lessons.
2Mu Ru studied in the art department, but because there were many minor subjects to take, such as design and painting, she had no choice but to focus on painting.
2She became interested in painting because of Mu Xue. When she was in primary school, the school allowed them to sign up for special interest classes. Mu Xue wanted to sign up for painting, and Mu Ru followed suit.
2Several years back, Mu Ru had to waited for Mu Xue after school because she would still be attending her painting classes. When the teacher saw Mu Ru waiting in the corner, she gave her a pen and paper and asked her to paint and sketch along with everyone in the class.
2Soon, her love for painting grew. Initially, she wasn't interested in it at all, but because of the art teacher, Nan Ke, who had a bright personality, she came to love the class.
2Teacher Nan Ke once told them that girls could not be categorized into beautiful and ugly girls, but they could be classified as either cute or not cute. She believed that any girl who could be considered adorable was naturally beautiful.
2It was because of Teacher Nan Ke's way of speaking and manner of explaining things that she became interested in painting. Unfortunately, she could not afford to pay for the classes. Mother Wang was simply a servant. Mother Wang's salary was enough to support them both, and she was too embarrassed to ask Mother Wang for money.
2Teacher Nan Ke heard that Mu Ru did not have enough money to pay for the classes, and she found it a little strange. Mu Ru looked exactly like Mu Xue, but why did Xi Muxue have money to spend while she didn't?
2She was embarrassed to tell her teacher about how she was raised by a servant because of her birthmark. Fortunately, Teacher Nan Ke was kind-hearted. She told Mu Ru that it did not matter if she couldn't pay. Teacher Nan Ke told her that she could attend the classes for free if she helped her organize the color palettes and color pens after classes.
2Mu Ru was extremely grateful to Teacher Nan Ke, and from then on, she became more serious about painting.
2Her paintings became better and improved over time. Teacher Nan Ke would often put up Mu Ru's sketches and paintings on the wall for everyone to see. She would often talk about Mu Ru, and she would tell the class that Mu Ru was an extremely inspiring child with a talent for painting.
2Mu Xue saw that Mu Ru's paintings were far better than hers, and she felt very insecure about it. The next semester, she transferred to the piano interest class, while Mu Ru continued with the painting classes. Fortunately, their classes ended at the same time, so they were still able to go home together.
2With Dongfang Jun's help, Mu Ru's life became quite peaceful. However, Dongfang Mo assigned her to be his personal servant and brought her to work for a week.
2Mu Ru was confused as to why Dongfang Mo insisted on having her around as a personal assistant.
2In spite of that, she was looking forward to Dongfang Jun's visit because he would be bringing back the recording pen and an artwork for her to sketch and paint.
2That night, Mu Ru went upstairs as usual after dinner. Mother Liu seemed to be busy in the past days, so she did not have time to cook lily and red date porridge for Mu Ru. Meanwhile, she had no idea where Dongfang Mo and Dongfang Yu were. They were very busy that they were rarely seen at the house.
