Mu Ru was stunned. When she turned around, Dongfang Yu had already driven the car away. It was obvious that he was just talking to himself and had no intention of discussing it with her.

2"Young Madam, you're such a good person. The eldest young master will surely appreciate it. In the future, he will treat you well," Mother Liu said.
2Mu Ru nodded. She believed that even the most precious gems were carved and made more beautiful out of hard work.

2At dinnertime, the three men of the Dongfang family had not yet returned. Dongfang Mei was not at home either. Instead, Mother Liu kept Xi Muru company during dinner.
2At around midnight, a Rolls-Royce arrived and stopped in the garden in front of the main villa. Uncle Liu first brought down Dongfang Mo's wheelchair, then he went back inside the car to get Dongfang Mo, after which he helped him sit properly on the wheelchair.
2Dongfang Mo had dressed himself up very well. He wore casual clothes, a very low cap, a disposable mask, white gloves, and large-framed sunglasses. His collar was not very high because it wasn't winter yet, and the faint scar on his neck revealed his identity.
2Dongfang Mo was the chairman and president of the Dongfang Corporation. He would attend meetings with top executives once or twice a week or whenever he had to personally handle some matters. Usually, Uncle Liu would simply go to the office to fetch documents for Dongfang Mo to sign and review.
2Dongfang Mo was a miracle in the business world. Four years ago, his father died at sea, and he was forced to return to China to take over the corporation. In just a year, he was able to save the corporation because it was at the brink of falling into a crisis. After another two years, because of his leadership, the corporation was included in the list of Top 500 Companies worldwide.
2However, fate seemed to have a different plan. A year ago, he was involved in a car accident. After that, he could only manage the company from a wheelchair. However, it did not stop him from managing the corporation well.
2"Mo, you're back. Have you eaten?" Mu Ru asked.
2Mu Ru ran down from upstairs. When she saw Dongfang Mo, she was no longer so afraid of him. Instead, she mustered her courage and went up to him.
2"I brought back the lion's head dish that I made back home. I'll heat it up for you to try, okay?"
2Dongfang Mo was stunned. He wanted to reject her, but when he saw the sincerity in her eyes, he nodded.
2"Sure. I can have it as a midnight snack," Dongfang Mo answered.
2Mu Ru did not say anything. She was simply grateful that he did not reject her offer.
