章節 2: Entering a new world

"Aaaggghhh," a boy jolted awake, screaming. His body, sweating profusely, grasped desperately for air as confusion clouded his mind.

His mind was a whirlwind of emotions as he awoke from death. Noah, scouring his surroundings, sat in confusion.

He vividly remembered his dance with death as he ended his own life. Now, looking around the room, a myriad of different thoughts echoed within his head.

'I died.' This single thought kept echoing through his head as he assessed his current predicament.

'Is this hell? Where are all the eternal flames?' The boy mused, his expression surveying the modest room he found himself in.

The room portrayed a humble appearance, showing the living conditions of its residents.

Still gazing around the room for any indication of where he was, the only things contained within the small room were a small and simple cupboard. No pictures or phone were in sight as he observed his surroundings.

Tired of lying in the unknown bed, he moved his body as he stood up.

Inertia immediately hit him; his once light body felt a whole lot heavier as he struggled to maintain his balance.

But he stood firm, his mind slowly becoming used to the new weight of his body.

Incoherent thoughts clouded his mind as he had no clue where he was. Noah, the one who had found himself in this peculiar situation, slowly started exploring the room.

Opening the cupboard, the only thing inside were a few pairs of worn-out clothes.

As he continued searching the room, he came upon a weird watch next to the bed.

Checking the watch, its sleek futuristic design, like nothing Noah had ever seen before, betrayed the notion of it being an average watch.

*Tap*

As he pressed on the watch, a huge holographic screen opened, scaring Noah as he fell back, landing on his buttocks.

'Is this a Sci-fi movie or something? What the heck is up with this big holographic screen?'

Scrolling through the contents of the watch, apps Noah had never even heard of appeared.

'What the heck is TokTik or the Hunters Shop?'

Opening TokTik, a girl stood; her ethereal beauty surpassed any model he had seen before. She did silly dances, something which quickly made Noah cringe as he closed the app.

Opening the Hunters app, a multitude of weapons, potions, skills, and otherworldly objects appeared.

Finally staring at the screen, a deep realization struck Noah.

'I'm not on Earth anymore... am I?'

Although it seemed like a normal conclusion to come too, especially after seeing the holographic watch, Noah found it hard to believe, wondering whether he was dreaming or had he really transmigrated.

Staring at his hand, the scar he used to have was nowhere to be seen, reinforcing the idea that he had transmigrated.

As he sat and contemplated his new existence, voices seeped in from outside the room.

Panicked, he wondered what to do as the voices got closer to the door.

As the unknown figures entered the room, something extraordinary happened. Seeing their faces almost had a jump-start effect on his brain.

As all of a sudden, memories hit him. There was no pain felt, but the experience jumbled up Noah's brain, making him wonder who he was. As Noah's and Bellator's memories mixed causing an identity crisis.

He felt like he was both Noah and Bellator. But as if that wasn't enough, after the assimilation of Bellator's memories, dread welled up inside him as he muttered, "I'm Fucked."

Adding to his confusion was the fact that the duo in front of him, who he now recognized as his mom and sister, were happily singing happy birthday as they cheered him on.

'What the actual heck is going on right now?'
