The entire time that the two conversed, Katherine kept silent as she ate. Occasionally, she would notice Caroline Young, Deborah's daughter, fawning over Damien who sat opposite her at the dining table. It was quite weird for Katherine to witness another female ogle Damien unabashedly in front of her—she didn't know whether she should call her out or just let her be.
