章節 18: Chef

Contrary to the restless night of Mo Xiao, Sia experienced a good night's sleep. She woke up with a minor headache but it was very less compared to her usual experiences. Whenever she would get even a little drunk, her secretary Eva would escort her to her place. She would feel a terrible headache the next day but today it was different. She tried to remember about yesterday night and when she recalled her behavior from the night she was stunned.

She observed her black dress, a glass of water and medicines on the table beside her bed which made her smile. She remembered him feeding her hangover soup and her words she said. Sia was never one to forget about things the next morning that she would do when she's drunk. She face-palmed herself out of embarrassment, even though she remembered telling him that she loves, but according to her she told him that she liked and loved him. But the problem here was that, Mo Xiao was not aware that this girl was talking about him when she said that she loves him, he thought that she was talking about her first love. She calmed her heart, drank the medicine and got up from bed.

She freshened up before calling him. He was in his study reviewing documents when he received her call.

"Hey. Morning." She said happily.

"Morning. How are you feeling now?" he asked after putting down his pen.

"Er…. That.. actually… yesterday due to their company I drank more than my tolerance. I'm sorry." She was guilty for her antics the night before.

She heard him laugh before saying, "It's okay. That proves you are comfortable with them." He said dotingly. He was both happy and sad about her getting drunk, though she was comfortable around him, recognized him but she said she loved…. But this damned girl didn't tell any name which made him sleepless.

"So today's dinner, can we have it at my place?" she asked softly.

Though he was surprised to hear that, he instantly said yes in response which made her delighted.

Mo Xiao had her grandfather's approval so naturally, she didn't have much suspicions; also, the suspicions regarding his connections, it was no way that this person who owns such a big empire along with such a powerful military background would be a saint. It was necessary for him to be capable to protect his people and kingdom. Otherwise how could he be said a future patriarch of Mo Family.

At first, she was pretty much confused about the reason why this guy wanted to marry her. Take her family background or her capabilities or whatever else, everything she had was something he owned for a long time. Since last few weeks, it was like she was testing that guy. She tested him every possible way, but he showed no faults yet, but after examining him for this long there was one thing she was sure of, this guy loved her, definitely. Keeping aside everything else, which girl doesn't deserve to be loved?

She wore an apron before she went inside the kitchen to prepare dishes for their dinner. She called Mo Jing to know about his favorites but she informed her that this guy was not peculiar, he was fine with anything. Though she didn't tell her that she was planning to cook for him but wasn't it obvious? Mo Jing smiled sitting in her cabin. His brother was lucky in this aspect, but she…. It was for future chapters, guys!!

After thinking for long enough she decided to make all different delicacies she was good at. She arranged everything in her open terrace on a table for two before getting ready.

Mo Xiao was perfectly on time, she had informed at reception beforehand so he was directly brought to her place. Though he saw her apartment the night before, he didn't let his eyes wander too much. But today he took time to explore the beautiful place. Her place was vast but comfortable and not lonely with all necessities. It had a living room, kitchen, bedroom, study room, guest room, drawing room and a open terrace. Her whole place was colored in different shades of blue and the walls were covered with different drawings and other artistic works like origami. Sia came out of the bedroom to find Mo Xiao staring at a drawing in the living room. It was of a back of man on a wall looking at a tree opposite.

She called him twice but that guy was engrossed in that drawing, he turned as soon as she touched his shoulders, "What's wrong? I called you twice." She asked him confusedly. She could feel like something was off.

"This guy… I mean this drawing?" he asked her to which she excitedly said, "It's my work, I used to draw when I was small. It's quite detailed, right? That's why I like it a lot." That drawing was actually very detailed, even the balloon on the branch of the tree and designs on the boy's sweater were carefully drawn meticulously.

"Come I'll show you my other works if you want." She said while walking towards her drawing room, he followed closely behind. Although he could tell that her dress was backless her hair covered most of the part, those golden brown curls at the end of her hairs were like asking him to smoothen them with his hands. He was stunned when he reached in her drawing room, it was bigger than her bedroom, but still the number of drawing seemed to be more. Drawings of sky, mountains, faces, and many more were there in it. Not only that it consisted of drawings of view of underwater. Those views captured made him wonder if she liked adventures unlike other princesses who stayed away from them. He was looking at them as if memorizing each and every piece of them. Looking at that boss who seemed to be inspecting his company made her chuckle.

"Are you going to stay here whole time?" she said laughing at his gaze. She actually felt good seeing that he seemed to like those drawings. He shook his head and followed her lead as she showed him around her place. Most interesting part of her place was that every room had name plates displaying its purpose. Also, her study room was inside her drawing room.

After looking around her place, they settled down on the table for having their dinner, the sky above was filled with stars coupled with the lights she arranged it felt like the first date for them. She was especially talkative today. She would usually only answer to his questions but today even she was asking him about his hobbies, dreams, past etc.

Looking at the delicacies Mo Xiao thought she ordered from somewhere so he didn't comment about it, but after taking few bites when he looked up he saw her staring at him, that gaze was so deep that he had a feeling that she would eat him up. Looking at the reddened ears Sia laughed.

"What are you embarrassed for?? I was just waiting for comments on food." She said laughing. Every time she laughed, it would be soft lady like, but right now the smile was deep, she laughed whole heartedly making her dimple visible, she had them on both sides but they were only visible when she smiled deep which was actually deep, none other than her grandfather or her few friends were the ones that have seen.

"You cooked it?" he asked with a surprised look.

"Yeah. What? You didn't know I could cook." She said while smiling. She nearly choked when she saw him shook his head, 'Does this guy actually don't know this?' She remembered telling his grandfather that she could cook.

"I thought at first that you will cook but…." He took a pause before continuing because he couldn't tell if she would feel offended, "Looking at those dishes, I thought they were cooked by professional. Not only taste but their texture is also perfect. They are really as beautiful as you. Besides, there are both continental and traditional dishes so I just thought that.." he was nervous at his end words. It was the first time that he complimented her so openly, though he would usually compliment her about looks, he would never be so direct. She instantly blushed at his words.

Now that he knew she cooked especially for him he couldn't help but praise her. It was first time that he felt so special. They chatted for some more time before he bid her goodbye. He really used all his patience today to control his urge to hug and kiss her today. Besides after drinking wine, she looked absolutely tempting with deep red cheeks and rosy lips.

Even she wanted to kiss him today, but she was too shy to bring it up. It's actually a different story when she's drunk… haha…. She becomes a dominating seductress….. you will see it in future. Hehe.

As she was about to sleep she received a call from her grandfather's mansion. It was Elder Liu, his caretaker who called and told her that her grandfather wanted to see her. She immediately wore something comfortable, grabbed her keys and left for his place.
