章節 2: Am I being edited?
Ok, now I should probably tell what my dress looks like: it's completely white and has crimson lavender at the bottom. It was the same dress I wore when I auditioned to be a singer and it's amazing to see how much I've grown. This is my fifth album, my first live performance and I can't believe I'm now a top singer amongst the company! As I stood upon the stage I waited for the buzz of the crowd to die down. I coughed and everyone went silent. "I'm sure you all know that I'm releasing an album: forever infinite' and I hope y'all enjoy these live songs by the one and only Anastasia Havelock!" As I said these words cheers rang through the crowd like an infectious disease.
I opened my mouth to sing but when the first couple of words came out they sounded...different...
Am I being edited? Every note that came out was like ten times as higher than I know my real voice is. It was live so I couldn't just stop. As I sang I felt tears well up in my eyes. How could they do this to me? Do they not think I'm good enough? I bravely carried on with my songs but you see they weren't my songs anymore. When it ended I couldn't wait to just run off the stage. The boss still had something to say though so I couldn't leave. My legs stayed glued to the floor. I thought this would be like a dream coming true but it's turning into a haunting nightmare. What do I do?
