A young lady, whose eyes betrayed her terror, trembled uncontrollably as the guards approached her. Despite the smudges of dirt on her face, she was a pretty girl with delicate features. Her hands were clasped tight around her chest. The guards roughly grabbed her arms, and she gave a cry of protest.

"No! Please let me go!" she cried, her voice breaking with fear. "I don't want to die!"

Similar to the first, the guard handed her the bowl filled with black liquid. However, filled with anxiety, her hands trembled as she took it from the guard, causing the liquid to spill onto the ground. Instantly, the atmosphere tensed; her eyes widened in horror, and the guard's face contorted with anger.

"What are you doing?" the head guard shouted, his voice booming in the silence, followed by a hard slap across the young lady's face. The sound echoed through the square. "Do you have any idea what you have done?" he spat out.
