***Hours before the dinner***

Wang Fang had just finished a long day at work as the chief librarian at the university. She was tired and looking forward to going home and relaxing. As she entered the house, she saw her mother and father dressed up and ready to go out.

"Where are you going, Ma, Ba?" she asked.

Meili, Wang Fang's mother, looked at her daughter and smiled. "We're going out for a Korean BBQ dinner tonight. We thought it would be a nice change of pace."

Wang Fang was excited. She loved Korean BBQ and was looking forward to a nice dinner with her family. The new Korean BBQ restaurant in one of the hotels of the city had been abuzz and she wondered if they will be eating there tonight!

However, something seemed off. Her parents were acting strangely, and they hadn't told her about their plans ahead of time. They usually told her everything.
