Zack left after breakfast with his daughter. Jade waved her hand as her father's car pulled away and was out of sight. She took turns getting into her car and throwing her bag into the seat next to her.

She sighed, closing her eyes as her hands gripped the steering wheel. And when she was in that position, she smelled a familiar smell. The smell of wolf.

Jade opened her eyes and looked out the car window. That was where Shane was staring at her with his head in Jade's car window and very close to her.

Jade almost gasped, but she was already starting to memorize the smell of the wolf. So, apart from the pounding of her heart, she couldn't feel anything anymore.

"Good morning, Jade," he greeted.

His mouth smells good. Can wolves smell like that? And how could he be this close to me? He really should have kept his distance from vampires. Damn, I forgot the part he thought of me as his master. She thought to herself.
