There was a knock on her bedroom door and Jade knew it was her father. He, who was reading a book, only replied that Zack would open the door.

"There's Shane outside. Do you want to see him?" Zack informed her.

One eyebrow raised and he immediately put the book down by his side. He nodded at Zack and then Zack left his room.

Jade immediately came down from his room and stood in front of the door where Shane just stood with his body stiffened. He wasn't wearing warm clothes but was wearing a regular t-shirt, which showed the muscles of his arms.

He swallowed hard watching her and realized himself. "What is it?" Jade asked. He walked to guide Shane to sit on the bench in front of his longhouse.

"Tomorrow's Roger's birthday," Shane announced.

Jade immediately looked at him. Last night Kesha met him and he didn't tell him anything about Roger's birthday. So, he was quite surprised.

"Does Kesha know?" Jade asked.
