“They have a connecting bathroom. I rarely have any overnight guests visiting, though. The right side of the second floor is the master suite. It has its own bathroom and a walk-in closet. The master suite is my sanctuary.”
Keenan scrunched up his face when they eventually got near to the staircases, seemingly confused when he noticed a second door on the right side of the second floor. “Is that an extra bedroom?”
Pablo shook his head. “That’s a second walk-in closet for the extra winter coats, shoes, bags, ties, cufflinks, suit jackets, and all the different items I don’t frequently use.”
“I see.”
Pablo observed the fleeting strange expression on Keenan’s face, but it was gone far too quickly for him to know what it meant exactly. “Are you okay?”
Keenan smiled at Pablo, but it didn’t appear to be sincere. “Sure. I think we should get back to the first floor. I can smell the food all the way up here. Dinner must be ready now.”
Pablo bit back a sigh. “Yeah. Good idea.”
